I took mine out last week and broke down and checked her out prior to the days shoot, everything looked good you would think...Started out the day with import ammo (Rio) brand. First two attempts and ....nothing just a "click". I was at first thinking "no not a NEW Mossberg "!. So I checked the primer's on the shells and the strike looked very light. I disassembled and inspected it and every thing still looked good. And yes to those of you who are thinking "just change ammo", sometimes you gotta shoot what they give ya, so after I dry cycled it about a dozen times "not nice like" I tried to cycle it as if being fired. then after that I put 2 boxes thru it and it fired every one....took home and cleaned it and will start out with some U.S made stuff "Federal" hint next time. I own several Mossbergs and I'll put a couple cases of ammo thru it and go from there...I'll try to update soon...however the gun pointed very nice and the recoil is super manageable. I'm 5' 9" 170 lbs and it fit me perfect. this would be a good shotgun for the younger shooter as far as recoil. Good luck..

I purchased this 930 for less than what many pump guns sell for. I've got about 1000 rounds through, mainly bird shot and it cycles flawlessly. It is also much easier to clean that my Remington 1100. The plastic hardware is not luxurious but much better suited to wet areas than the pretty wood stocks. My only complaint is that the fore grip jiggles ever so slightly. It's a minor issue that can easily be overlooked for the price.

Awesome shotgun. I bought this as a base for 3-gun. So far so good. I did add the Or3gun competition kit so I have had none of the reliability issues some people complained about with this shotgun. I like the front fiber and the receiver is drilled and tapped for an optic mount. Great price as well.

I purchased the Mossberg 930 for my youngest son for his high school graduation present. He sampled various shotguns, including the 930, and liked that best. Bud's offered the best price, and shipping was fast and efficient. I picked it up at a local FFL holder, with my son present to be the first to handle the shotgun. He was very happy. The next day we hit the range and he fired 100 rounds on clay, no malfunctions. He commented that the shotgun tired him faster than his smaller youth model 20 gauge, but recoil was lighter and follow-ups were easier. We had six rounds that fell from the shotgun when chambering; our best guess was that we didn't have the rounds fully seated in the magazine tube, allowing the round to eject when the shell elevator assembly moved. My son was afraid of pinching his thumb in the elevator assembly when inserting the rounds, and probably didn't get them fully seated. Easily solved by a bit of practice. He found the shotgun easy to use, and scored consistently once he had a few rounds down the tube. We shot each choke with a pattern board prior to shooting clay. The shotgun functioned as it should, and he's happy with his gift.

While I haven't taken it hunting yet, I did take it out back and ran everything from bulk box target loads to slugs through it with out a hiccup. With this gun you get way more value than the cost out of it as always with any Mossberg. As to the service that I received, that was also excpetional. This is the 3rd or 4th gun that I have bought from buds and on all of them I used the 90 day layaway which is convenient for sneaking them past my wife as well as for the wallet. I recommend both the gun and buds gun shop

Famtastic gun. Only fire 10 rounds so far. Straight out if the box. Functioned perfectly.

Super sweet and reliable shooter for the price. Needs a good initial cleaning. Fit and finish is excellent.
