Hello All, I am looking for a good quality shotgun to last me a long time for me and my son for pheasant/game birds/deer. Would this one be recommended. Will I be buying good quality. Thank You.

This shotgun is suitable for pheasant although I'd prefer a 28" barrel to reach our a little farther with a tighter pattern. The barrel length is fine for deer but you should consider getting a "cylinder" or "improved cylinder" choke tube if you ae going to use slugs. My understanding is it comes with a "modified" choke which if a good overall choke for game birds and buckshot. I have read that this shotgun does in fact come with a removeable choke system and it can fire either 3" or 2 3/4" shotgun shells. I would check with Stoeger and find out exactly what brand choke tubes are compatible with this shotgun.

Yes Mark, the Stoeger line is good to go quality and function wise. Proper maintenance and lubrication should give you a lifetime of shooting.
