What exactly is xd gear which says you don't ship.?

You'll still get it with the Springfield rebate. The rebate gets you 4 extra magazines, a double mag pouch, and free holster. Gun also includes a nice case, lock and brushes. Original gear included all this plus a speed loader.

I read that Springfield is no longer shipping the xd gear that used to come with the gun in the box, so basically your getting the essentials package now instead. The gear up program is different, you send away to Springfield armory USA for that promotion.

Xd gear is a promotion from the manufacturer, which is why Bud's will not ship. It's normally a few extra mags as well as a holster, and mag pouch.

I have two XD products, I have found their magazines to be one of the best in the industry. My purchases both came with "gear" which includes a hard plastic paddle type holster, a magazine pouch (holds two mags) of the same material. That being said I have never used them, I found that personal taste drives accessory purchases. However it is definitely worth claiming the magazines from the promotion, they are super high quality and normally working with Springfield on the rebate is fast and can generally be accomplished online.
