Great gun. Very accurate. Have put through at least 500 rounds and gun has never jammed. Very heavy so not so good for a carry weapon.

They went the extra mil for 700$ I got a great gun. Match barrel. The over all gun is really nice with the adjustable trigger.

It's a Shooter Cooter!! Remington R1 double stack 15 & 1 45 ACP Enhanced 96491 is a good value 1911 that feels solid to grip nice checkering no slipping in Texas heat. Performed great first time out to range 400 rounds in 90 minutes no fails, 230 grain FMJ Winchester Brass and FMJ Federal aluminum target rounds. Also ran 50 JHP 230 grain Gold dot and Remington HTP eats it all, ran flawlessly, a steel beast. Trigger was 4 pounds pull out of the box and very short reset, perfect for double taps. Fiber optic front sight is easy to pick up and stay on target some sharp edges that I will smooth out, cutting holster inside. I had nice tight patterns on targets 3" at 7yards and 6" at 20 at yards shooting quickly. When I bore down "bullseye" tore a very nice pattern "day light"! LOL Pistol is fun to shoot and dependable 16 rounds of 45 ACP stopping power, American made with Remington service and parts available on line, a big plus. Safeties are positive for running cocked and locked in my El Paso Tanker holster, nice combo, for conceal and carry under jacket.
