The Dan Wesson specialist was amazing, the fit and finish was better than some of my Wilson combat pistols and the gun ran like a top. The gun is on the heavy side but very comfortable to carry, very little recoil and amazing performance. I will suggest anyone looking for a high end gun to look at this beauty. As always Buds service was great, and the shipment was delivered promptly .

This is my third Dan Wesson 1911 and second Specialist. The purchasing and delivery process between Buds and my FFL went without a hitch. My first Specialist was a 9mm and I like it so well I had to try the 45ACP version. I've put about 400 rounds of 230 grain jacket ball ammo down range without a problem of any kind. The pistol is sighted for self defense and completely accurate out to the 6" target I had at 60 feet. I was particularly interested in the 45ACP Specialist because of its Commander size with the weight of a Government model. To my way of thinking this makes it an excellent 45ACP range pistol that will better complement the size and configuration of my EDC. The fit and finish is comparable to my Wilson Combats and Nighthawks. It's been said by many and I'll say it again IMO the DW 1911 is the best production 1911 in the market today and the best bang for your buck.
