Henry levergun....Excellant...Need II say more?

The Henry Big Boy is a well made, 10 round, centerfire lever action resting rifle with brass receiver trim, blued octagonal barrel, and quality American walnut stock. TheHenry handles amazingly well right out of the box and the sights were zeroed out to 100 yds. While its 8.7 lbs is reminiscent of the Springfield m1903, the Henry is more compact (shorter 38” v. 43”) so it didn’t feel nearly as heavy or cumbersome, if that makes sense. In any case, the weight and solid construction significantly minimizes the kickback of 44 mag round. I was expecting a kick similar to a shotgun but was pleasantly surprised the recoil was more akin to a long barrel 5.56. You’ll forget you’re firing a 44mag until you see the dirt kick up behind the target (pretty cool). Definitely agree this is made for brush hunting, home defense and cowboy action shooting. Buds, as usual, was easy to work with too. So, if you ever wanted that old west lever rifle that stands out and is fun to shoot, the Henry Big Boy certainly is one of them. Who knew something this good could come from Bayonne NJ (though no one there, I’m sure, probably owns one)!

I recently ordered the Henry Big Boy from buds. It’s the second gun I’ve purchased from them. When I went to pick it up from the transferor I noticed that it had a few scratches on the butt plate and that the brass receiver just didn’t have that golden shine like a new Henry should have.. looked like it had been handled quite a bit (I don’t know maybe a floor model) so I didn’t transfer. Instead I called buds gun shop and explained the same thing to them and they were very friendly and professional. They just told me not to transfer and that they would handle it. They called the transfer, told them they would send a shipping label to send back to them. I received another one about a week later and it was perfect. Best prices and best customer service. I will continue to get my guns from Buds.

Also, I chose a transferor with a $25 fee. When I signed for the transfer they charged me $30. I know that’s not buds fault but I didn’t appreciate it.

Beautiful , beautiful firearm. This is my second Henry, and my 3rd purchase from Buds. I have had zero problems with any of my purchases or customer service. This Big Boy carbine has flawless fit and finish and cycles smooth. Love the octagon barrel.

What can I say except " I love my Henry's"!

Luckily, I live very close to a Bud's store so ordering this online and going to pick it up was a breeze. Took only about four days, they contacted me and told me it was in, went down that evening, picked it up, finished the paperwork, was out in about 15-20 minutes. Easiest thing I've ever done. And as far as the Henry was concerned ... flawless. Fit and finish were perfect. Cycles smooth as butter just like my other Henry's do .... can't wait to take this out to the range and put a couple hundred rounds thru it. This will end up and a gorgeous family heirloom.
