Could someone tell me what the scope rail is attached with? I wanted to take off the rail and apply thread lock before mounting my scope, but none of my hex keys seem to fit (standard or metric). Thanks for answering what might be a silly question.

I just put the scope on mine. It has not come loose in 5 years.

Just the 4 screws hold it on. Not sure what the size is but what Tom said... it aint going anywhere. Believe 20 in lbs is torque spec.

55-70 yards and under is about my shooting yardage. I really prefer Iron Sights, but is there a scope, or reflex or red dot that will work for this rifle under 50 yards. Or will a couple of AR Flip Iron Sights work on the rail?

Richard, Just drop a red dot on it and you'll be golden. You can spend $30 to $300. You probably have a red dot in your safe, with your accessories, or one you can move from another gun and enjoy you 70 yard shooting.

Fantastic bolt action budget 300 aac blackout. I got this to plink with subsonic through my rugged obsidian 9 and it has not disappointed. Highly recommend tgis to anyone looking to shoot suppressed for maximum suppression with good accuracy not wanting to spend thousands of dollars. Ruger is a great company that has an outstanding track record with customer service. Buds was able to get me set up with this rifle and the ammo I wanted within 2 to 3 days of my order.

Good shooting gun. Solid build and good trigger pull. I like that it takes AR pmags. Fits my suppressor great and is super quiet with subsonics. I will buy this gun in .556 as well. Great varmit rifle on a budget.

This is certainly a great rifle for the money. The bolt action allows no action noise when firing 300 BLK and it comes threaded and ready for a suppressor. The fact that it allows AR mags puts it way ahead of the competition (Savage). Bud's service was fantastic and timely as always. My only minor complaint is that the bolt action is a bit sloppy as the gun is brand new out of the box. I'm sure a little polishing will fix that with no issues. Overall it's 4 stars, but on the value scale I give it 5 stars. Bud's get's 5 stars.
