I am deciding between Ruger 43917 and Ruger 43918. They look identical as is the price. That said, what’s the difference between the two? Thanks in advance...

Adam, the 43918 has a "Threaded Barrel" and the 43917 has a "NON THREADED BARREL". They are identical other than the sole difference of the barrel types.

The 43917 does not have the threaded barrel whereas the 43918 does have the threaded barrel. Also, Ruger's website did not have the 43917 listed as I checked. It looks as though Ruger upgraded the 43917 with the threaded barrel and list it as the 43918. I hope this helps you.

43918 will come with a threaded barrel. Not sure the 43917 has one. The Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite is an absolutely excellent firearm. Build quality, fit & finish, and the overall "feel" of the gun are all superb! If you're an avid 22 shooter (which I am), I strongly recommend adding a Ruger 22/45 Lite to your collection. My experience with Buds was also excellent. Very prompt and helpful service along with excellent prices. Will definitely use Buds for my future firearm purchases.

Please note that this model is non threaded barrel. I wish I had known that before buying as I wanted the threaded barrel and the description was not clear. Than being said I have put 500 rounds through it already and it shoots great. It does have issues with CCI quiet but anything else and it shoots flawlessly.

If this gun is not in your collection, you're missing out. Beautiful, accurate, ergonomic, and a .22 so we're not spending a whopping 10 minutes at the range and going home. Right out of the box, the bolt was like butter, it ate over 400 straight rounds of bulk ammo with no FTF or FTE. Completely customizable firearm and the EASIEST take down I've ever seen. The only minor complaint I have to report is somewhere around 300 rounds the front sight kicked loose and pulled a weather vane. Not worthy of deducting a star, just took her home and slapped a little loctite on the threads and reefed her back down - no movement in another 500 rounds. Buy this gun, and actually enjoy shooting again.

Absolutely love how easy it is to disassemble and REASSEMBLE after cleaning. Such a great upgrade from the Mk3 etc. Super reliable as well. Great .22 pistol.

Fun ,super light,shoots smoothly.need to adjust the sights as it is shooting a bit low.the take down on this plinker is the easiest firearm I have ever taken apart for cleaning.thanks to buds for fast and great service as always.
