The Remington 700 is still considered by many to be the most accurate out of the box rifle ever made and the standard by which all other bolt actions are measured by. The Model 700 Precision Chassis Rifle is systematically elevating this world standard for accuracy! It's chambered in .308 Winchester and has a 24" carbon steel barrel with a threaded muzzle. Featuring tactical/target style hammer forged 5R rifling it will provide you with amazing shot to shot consistency. It has a Remington Precision Chassis, with a free-float SquareDrop aluminum forend and an adjustable Magpul PRS Gen 3 stock. The rock solid receiver sports a picatinny rail for scope mounts and houses the X-Mark Pro Trigger that breaks like glass. Sub-MOA accuracy of a three shot test group is verified with a Computer Aided Targeting System (CATS) and these results for your specific rifle are included in the box. Everything about the Remington 700 PCR is all about long range precession. For competition or hunting western plains, the Remington Model 700 PCR should be at the top of your list!

That was just as easy as going to my local firearms shop. Communication was great and the transaction very smooth. Shout out to Sportsman"s Adventures in Oneonta, NY. The Remington Model 700 PCR? I grew up in a community, about 45 minutes distant from Remington Arms. I stood out at the bus stop in the 1970's and watched a car full of Dad's heading to work at the Remington Facility. I graduated from high school and enlisted in the Marine Corps.I later retired. In the 1980's I would come home on leave and Woodchuck hunt with a 700 BDL in 25-06. I loved the gun and it was very accurate.I was hesitant with the PCR, but had also worked with various platforms in the military. What can I say, I'm traditional and like a wood stock, so I was hesitant.I can say this, working the bolt, it reminded me of the BDL in that it was a smooth throw. Tolerances were close then are now. No wiggle, same as that 70's BDL.I have big fingers and I am a big guy, The trigger screw did not get in the way as I was taught to use my trigger finger pad and squeeze. As I have retired from the military and am soon to hang up my teaching, I look forward to sitting at the bench at my local fish and game club and retire shooting this cool rifle. That's where you'll find me.

My first thought when I took my PCR out of the box was, “Man, this thing is heavy.” According to the specs on the rifle, it weighs a hefty 10.5 lbs empty and even more now that I’ve added a scope, bipod, and muzzle brake. After fondling it for a while, I realized that the weak links on this gun were going to be the trigger and the magazine. The trigger pull out of the box measured 4.5lbs, but I was able to adjust it (using the instructions in the manual) to a satisfactory 2.8lbs. The magazine turned out to be a non-issue, much to my relief. Feeding wasn’t super slick, but it did its job. The included test target was a very respectable .53” at 100 yards with 168gr match ammo. This was from their C.A.T.S. (Computer Aided Targeting System), not an actual holes-in-paper target. I won’t go into details about this system, but if you are interested, go to Remington’s website and look it up. At the range, I got a few respectable 100 yd groups, including a .584" and a .501". Overall, I am very pleased, especially for a sub $1K precision rifle.
