Sturdy piece of equipment. A re-loader or assist for this would be a good option as it is very difficult after 9 or 10 rounds and practically impossible loading rounds with shorter 1/4" brass or nickel heads. There is something nice knowing you can send 45 .30 caliber pellets down range in a matter of moments. The fun factor on this is high, (And expensive:-) once you get it loaded.

I purchased this 15 round magazine not knowing how it would effect the balance of the gun, and how tough it was going to be to load the magazine. I found that the balance of the gun is still great, and that loading this magazine is not any tougher than loading the 10 round magazine. It's great to be able to take a shot gun to the range and not have to worry about constant reloading. Of course ordering form Bud's is always a great experience. Excellent pricing and very efficient ordering and email follow ups. Overall the 15 round magazine is a definite 5 star product.

I now have 3 - 10rd magazines and 1 - 15rd magazine for the Mossberg 590M shotgun. All magazines except the one supplied stock with the 590M were purchased at Bud's. The 15rd magazine (according to my very accurate home doctor-style beam scale using me with magazine, less me w/o magazine) weighs 2 ⅞ pounds loaded with 14 rounds of Winchester 00 buckshot. All 2 ¾" length as these magazines and shotgun will not accept 3" shells. I keep the 15rd magazine loaded with only 14rds in my safe as I rarely keep any magazine at full capacity when stored. Factory weight of the 590M is 7 ¾ lbs and adding the 2 ⅞ lb loaded magazine yields 10 ⅝ lbs total weight. Also good for at the range bicep curls. Loading: As per the factory Mossberg video, the Mossberg representative loads the magazine against his chest and makes the rather snide comment that if one has difficulty loading the magazine, he should go to the gym more often. If you decide to do this at the range, you will wind up with a black/blue mark on your chest. At my private member outdoor range, I brace the magazine against the trunk floor of my SUV. At home, I brace the magazine against against my work table while standing up. Easy loading. The first session with the 15rd magazine, I gave up trying for that 15th round but at the second session, the 15th round was doable. No problem at all loading the 10rd magazine with 10rds. Only problems encountered with shells not being fed into the shotgun while firing, was trying to mix&match Walmart Universal loads with 00 Buck. Recoil sometimes (only 4 times it happened) will force the lighter weight Universal load to move forward just a little bit and that round will not feed. Loading all 00 Buck or all Universal in one magazine presents no problems. Experience: 5 sessions at the range, 761rds total fired with 611rds 00 Buck, balance Walmart Universal (yes-I keep a spreadsheet). Lightweight senior citizen here. Oh-the 590M? Love it. LOP was too long so I put on a Hogue 12" LOP stock and added a LimbSaver for another inch. Perfect.

A:Hi Justin and welcome. Unfortunately, no Sir. This magazine is specific to the Mossberg 590M and will not fit any other Shotgun including your MPTAC Ultra with tubular magazine which is not designed for any detachable magazines to be attached. Cheers and stay safe!See 1 more answer | -

A:Buds is showing that the NJ limits magazines across the board to no more than 10 round capacity, "The following are prohibited: Magazines exceeding 10 rounds." they are not showing any qualifiers for differentiating mags for semi-auto vs pump/lever action, etc. That information can be viewed here: https://www.budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/new_jersey_restrictions.pdfSee 2 more answers |
I am seeing that Buds does have the 5 and 10 mags available here: https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/100885/moss+590m+mag+5+round
