Works as advertised and VERY accurate, velocity slightly exceeds adertized velocity from my 26" barrel. I have read elsewhere that these projectiles lack penetration but that was not the case for me. Unfortunately I didn't get a shot at an elk but did use them on a large and heavy mule deer. Complete pass through with a lot of trauma.

First off let me say Bud’s is the BEST!! Great selection and customer service is second to none!! Hornady makes fantastic ammo. Always a great choice in my opinion. Yet to let me down. Highly recommend!!!

My 300 win mag loves these rounds. I've killed two bull elk, about a dozen deer, and an antelope with this round. Very accurate, expands very quickly and usually there is no exit hole on game. The copper jacket usually separates from the lead core. The longest shot I have taken on an animal was a bull elk at 376 yards and the jacket separated from the core and there was no exit hole. That being said, almost nothing takes a step after being shot in the vitals with this round. I would be concerned about penetration if I needed to shoot through the shoulder of a quartering to elk. I have had great success with this round.

Finally found these in stock and at a decent price. These rounds shoot great in my rifle and have great knockdown power. I cannot wait to get them in field to see how they perform.
