Actually, guns designated as "exclusives" do have unique features and are specifically sold through a specific "distributor" or retail outlets. Bersa had 24 models of the Thunder pistol for sale right now. Nine of them are listed as exclusives. Academy for example has purchased a contract for a batch of them that are military Olive Drab green. There is a pink one that is exclusively being sold with a cancer kit/ program to support breast cancer. There are 2 models that are exclusive to the Davidson's Gun Gallery, I think they just have different color schemes. The bright nickel ones have been Lipsey's exclusives since 2002, and so on. Yours is designated as such because it has the laser. I am assuming that probably Lipsey's is the distributor since Buds and other outlets are selling the gun. And really how that works is a distributor like Lipsey's goes to a company like Ruger and says they think they could sell a Ruger single action pistol in stainless steel with a non standard barrel length. Ruger may not want to take the risk, but Lipseys agrees to buy 1,000 of them, so Ruger builds them. Ruger today builds dozens of exclusives that all are sold thru Lipseys. Go to Lispsey website and check them out. That's the way they get into production and why they are called exclusives.
