Nice gun. Love the extras, cereakote and vz grips. Was having trouble finding jhp to cycle and after watching a video with Ken Hacklethorn he explained the short 1911's prefer 200 grain or smaller because of the shorter stroke. As far as my experience with Bud's it was excellant.

I agree with the first reviewer on everything he said about this 1911. Only one thing, I have not put any rounds through it yet. The finish is flawless.And this gun has a very solid and stable feel to it. This is my My first Taurus and I think it's a Home run! Also my first purchase with Buds. Another Home run!! That is even more important than any firearm purchase! (Finding a good dealer like Buds) Thank you to Buds gun shop.

This is an excellent value for a 1911. The tungsten gray cerakote coating appears to be flawless and looks great with the inuded gray pattern VZ grips.
Gun comes with one 8 round Mec-Gar mag, which has a tendency to nosedive when "slingshotting" the slide. Also bought a Wilson Combat mag which seemed to alleviate the issue. Apart from that, the first 100 rounds fed flawlessly with both mags always holding open the slide after the last round was fired.
The trigger is a bit gritty, but that's to be expected in this price range. Groupings were consistent and the recoil impulse felt like a standard Commander size 1911.
Overall I'm very happy with this 1911. For the price it's a very competent and attractive firearm.
