She feels substantial in the hand, like she absolutely matters and only an utter fool would deny her value. The weight of the gun, the heft of the trigger pull, and the thunderous crack of the .44Remington Magnum round as it issues from her 7.5" barrel are all things that reinforce the gravity of manipulating a tool designed to mortally wound in mega fauna. I keep her in fine .44 Special defensive rounds at my bedside. Big hands and a firm grip are requirements for handling her effectively. This is not a firearm for the novice gunslinger. Shes for hard caliber men.

This is the first .44 magnum I've owned, and the Ruger Redhawk, 7 1/2 inch barrel, is a great gun. I don't really have a use for a .44 magnum - just wanted one - and I don't think I could have made a better choice.
