Timothy, Yes the laser is removable. With the 3 1/4" barrel there is only about 1" of the frame sticking out from laser.

Mike, Yes the G2S is the same platform as discontinued 709 Slim with the multiple strike feature. You can pull trigger over and over to release striker. As striker spring resets it after every trigger pull.
