I love this little revolver! I have been carrying this gun for 2 years. It is so perfect in my pocket, so light and comfortable, that I could easily forget it, if I wasn't aware at all times when I am armed. I have no issues with it, whatsoever. The previous writer who rated this gun badly was using .22 long rifle ammo in it. No wonder it wouldn't eject the empty cartridges. He should never have put 22 longs in it, in the first place. This is a .22 magnum. 22 magnum and 22 long rifle are not the same size. Each is made to be used in a gun chambered for that specific cartridge. I have used 22 mags from 4 different manufacturers, including one brand made in the Philippines. The 351pd used them all flawlessly. All of the cartridges drop easily into the chambers, when loading, and all drop out smoothly when I open the cylinder after firing, and raise the nose. No need to used the ejector rod. No issues with the trigger or the hammer action. The hammer does not hang up in my pocket. Occasionally, I need to clean pocket lint out of the gun and run a bore snake through the barrel and chambers. I happen to like the smoky finish on the gun. This seems to me to be a better carry gun for ladies, than the guns made especially for ladies, since it is so light, and has almost no noticeable recoil.

The gun has a dust black finish somewhat of a disappointment compared to typical S&W polished guns. The gun is made of an alloy which makes it unusually light, good for ladies. We shot Winchester Long Rifle .22 on the first trial. On every load it failed to eject all of the spent shells. They got stuck after the ejection plunger is pushed even when you point the barrel tip up. After they stick the are expanded and lodged in so tightly they must be removed by either picking them out or pushing them out. This annoyance was incessant through out the entire 30 minutes or about 50 rounds of shells fired. It makes for a very unpleasant experience. The ejector sprockets are not machined properly to catch the base of the shells. For a 22, the trigger pull is far too heavy for a small woman\'s finger strength and the hammer was equally difficult to retract. My wife is a tennis player, but did not have enough strength to use the double action. The rough pull makes me think a trigger job might help but I would rather get rid of the gun since the ejectors cannot be corrected.

Nice little gun, well finished and very lite carries well. The good part ends there, though, because it has the hardest trigger and hammer pull I've ever seen on such a small gun. I suppose if I keep it I'll have to have the springs worked on or it will be almost unusable. S&W you need to pay attention to what people have to say about this gun and if I had done my home work ahead I would not have bought it.

Initially the cylinder would not rotate when loaded with at least 4 different types of ammo. I was going to send it back,
however I decided to try again. The tolerance between the frame & cylinder was very close. I kept dry firing it until I felt like the
action was loosening a little. I finally got the cylinder to rotate & fire with Winchester ammo. After firing about 18 rds I was able to
use the other three ammo types. Now it functions flawlessly. I did add a larger Pachmayr grip as the stock rosewood is beautiful,
though it's too small for my average sized hands.
