Another EXCELLENT revolver from Bud's!
Nary a glitch with this firearm. I LOVE it! OK, so the felt recoil is stout but what can you expect from a .44 Mag. in a 4" revolver? It's light enough for concealed carry and it will certainly do it's job on any assailant . . . both two legged and 4 legged. For those of you who can tolerate the recoil; I certainly recommend this Taurus Tracker/

Got this gun last month, and took it to the range about a week later. VERY loud, powerful gun! I was shooting .44 mag polymer tip hollow points, and this gun turned heads!. Nice finish on the stainless steel. Nice gun for ANY amount, but especially for under $600.00

Nice gun. Shoots great. No recoil with 44 spl. and very mild with Winchester 240 gr. sp.

Just picked it up. Beautiful Gun. No blemishes or imperfections. Can't wait to shoot it! Took a while to get because I paid by bank transfer. Delivery may have been sped up if I had used a credit card. Worth the wait though.

Got mine July 2011 - small blemish on the barrel under the front sight - otherwise it's finish is great - trigger was rough but per info on forums sat in front of TV and cycled the trigger about 400 times without letting the hammer fall completely - trigger smoothed out fine - at the range put 100 rounds of mag's through it without any of the lockups others report - very accurate at the 25 yards I was shooting - love the ribbed rubber grip - makes mag's manageable one handed - used CCI .44's and 100 rounds put a bit of carbon on the cylinder and muzzle brakes - easy to cleanup though - don't appreciate hte 9 pound double-action trigger but in single-action it's maybe 3 pounds - won't change the pull because it would make the single-action dangerously sensitive -- overall - great pistol

Buds shipping was fast and easy using e-check. The gun's fit and finish looks great, machining quality about average. Had 2 range days so far shooting about 100 rounds, it is accurate and no problems as of yet. Very happy with it so far and as long as it keeps functioning as it is then it is a great bargain!!!

Disappointed with this pistol due to poor build & finish quality. The hammer sticks after every third shot

I had a lock-up issue with mine as well, but I avoided and dangerous situations by first checking the firearm with training dummies before firing live ammo in it. Old habit, and I do it with every firearm I purchase, no matter the manufacturer or condition. Contacted Taurus, shipped it off and had in back within a couple of weeks. It's worked fine and dandy since. I practice in the backyard with rubber bullets fired by primer only and do a couple of hundred rounds a week...the issue has never reappeared, and it's worked like a champ. Mine's doing two inch groups at 25 yards and when I really drill myself down I can do 4 1/2 at 50 yards. Weighs less than my 1911, and coupled with my SimplyRugged holster and inside-out straps, I carry the Tracker more often. The only way I could be happier with this gun is if it had been perfect right out of the box...but that's the price you pay when you buy a mass produced firearm built in Brazil...had it happened with a $1400 Smith, that would be a different matter...

I just received this gun last week. While firing the first cylinder full of cartridges, the gun locked up with the trigger in the "pulled" position. Could not move trigger, hammer, or open the cylinder. After jiggling a while I was able to get it open safely. Tried firing the gun some more. It operated fine in single action, but in double action the gun locked up after each firing. After firing, the trigger could not be pulled again, and either the cylinder had to be opened or the gun cocked to get it to operate. It functions fine when empty, but not after the impact of firing.

Taurus has agreed to repair it, but I bought this for a trip to Alaska and they will not do it in time. I got the item quickly from Bud's, but unlike other on-line gun retailers, you're on your own after the purchase. They will not do anything to help rectify the situation caused by the defective product.

After firing only 8 rounds of .44 Special, the cylinder failed to lock up causing a misfire. The primer was struck nearly into the brass due to misalignment. Careful examination of the gun after this event revealed a random failure to lock up. Repeatedly cocking the hammer and checking the cylinder for rotation revealed a failure to lock up usually within EVERY 4-6 attempts. This could have been a disaster but fortunately I was not injured. This is a critical defect and a revolver that should never have left the manufacturer. I will contact Taurus about repairing/replacing this revolver but I do not intend to keep this revolver or any replacement for it. BUYERS BEWARE, THIS DAMN THING CAN HURT YOU!
