My third purchase from buds. Went without any problems what so ever. I did quite a bit of research before deciding on this particular model of 45. I must say after firing many striker fired pistols it is refreshing to get back to a hammer fired manual safety and de-cocker design. This is an extremely well built and designed fire arm. I have cleaned and re assembled, but it is too cold and breezy to shoot it right now. I can't wait to run some rounds thru this one, as this will replace my full size Sr45 as a daily carry weapon. I would highly recommend H&K just from what I have seen in the 40 and 9mm platforms in some of the local shops. Holding this one in my hands proves I made the right choice.

Excellent pistol. You might pay more for a Heckler and Koch but I have never regretted it. It for sure is a softer recoil than my XDs and I am more accurate shooting it. I was able to shoot 2 inch groups at 21 feet.

very happy with this gun. trigger pull in single action is smooth light and trigger reset is nice. double action is long and some what heavy but it also is smooth all the way through. gun is also very accurate, and the grip fits my hand better then my Glock. only about 250 rounds shot but no problems with both hollow points and ball ammo. would recommend it to any of my friends looking for a good quality hand gun.

I purchased this gun because I have 2 other HK's and absolutely love them, was told that I probably wouldn't like it because it's a .45 and they're know to have a lot of power. I am so glad I never listen to what others say, I love this gun!! It does have the typical .45 'pow' factor as well as the known HK reliability, trigger pull is awesome, but since I am a small framed female concealment on myself will not be possible, but Ill def be keeping it in my car console for safety. And Buds service is impeccable as always.

Outstanding firearm. The ease of operation and flawless function reflect the engineering precision H&K is known for. The felt recoil is more manageable than a 1911 with a similar length barrel. I have put approximately 500 rounds through it thus far of a fair mix of quality and "grab bag" ammunition without any issues. Will update after the first 1000 rounds.

Buds does have the best price I could find. The electronic check is really slow though, the other methods of payment have got to be faster. Although when Buds received payment, it was shipped RIGHT AWAY! It shipped on Thursday and was here Friday, extremely fast if you ask me. Haven't picked up the gun yet but once I go get it and am able to shoot I'll write a review on the USP 45 compact.

This is a remarkable pistol. It's very accurate, moreso than me, but that's what practice is for. For its first outing, I fed it 105 rounds- 100 fmj and 5 pmc starfire rounds. It functioned as anyone would expect an expensive pistol would with no jams, BUT.... Trigger is 'funny'- believe the critical reviews. It's not a deal breaker by any means, but the difference between firing da and sa is staggering. After the first shot, I was very suprised how quickly the second was to pull. IMHO (and many may disagree) it is better to have it that way for safety reasons. And anyone complaining about how heavy the sa trigger is to pull needs to exercise more.

I had one heck of a snafu with my initial order. Once that was fixed by the great staff, however, this wonderful piece was shipped right away. Customer service at Bud's was TOP NOTCH. I wasn't planning on getting this one by the way. I splurged a bit and I couldn't be happier that I chose this as the runner up; I'll give a report after I take it to the range.
As far as compactness, it's immediately apparent this is no tiny gun. I've read elsewhere it's more of a medium frame than anything. Which is great. As a first gun, I didn't want a full size or subcompact. Glock 45s are way to thick whether or not they hold more ammo; this feels so good in my hand compared to any other polymer 45 I've handled.
Anyway, as stated above, I'll give a gun review later. Bud's service is A+!
...and I give 4 stars because of the first-order-snafu.

I bought this from Bud's and it is a great price for H&K.They are slow getting my guns out to me compared to what others write but I believe it is because of the amount of business they have now.I have not shot it yet but I know it will be great.Double action trigger pull is typical, heavy but it is really smooth.the single action trigger pull is amazing,it is as light as the custom trigger pull on a Para have,I would guess it is 4 pounds max and incredibly smooth.
The most amazing thing about this gun,and unexpected,is it can be carried cocked and locked.Chamber a round and put your safety on and you are ready to go.
