Bought this almost as a joke so a friend of mine and I could go shooting on a budget. It\'s HUGE and heavy so you could never carry the thing. But I got to say I can\'t even make it jam. It\'s been very reliable. If only it wasn\'t so big I would consider carrying the thing and I never expected to say that about a Hi-Point. The laser works too, my wife\'s cat likes to follow the beam along the floor, lol. Bud\'s was great.

The order was easy, the gun arrived fast. But again your showing the picture of the gun and laser that doesn\'t come with it. The laser shipped is totally different than the one shown. When I called Buds I was told I had to call the manufacturer. The gun maker told me that was a promo picture and items may change. And I could purchase that laser if I wanted to. So between buds and high point I paid for a gun and laser that don\'t exist. Don\'t place a photo that isn\'t the actual item for sale, and don\'t sell an item that isnt what is shown. Or at least back it up and send the right item. I will never buy again sight unseen.

I recently purchased from Bud\'s. All I can say is that I like it. The shipping of my hi point was fast. And I love the 90 day layaway plan. I will definitely purchase from Bud\'s again.

this is my 3rd purchase from Buds, the Hi Point 40 is ausome, its heavy, would not suggest for cc, but for target, an jus fun, its a great learning gun, especially with the laser. AS always dealing with Buds, in terms of price , quality, ease of all transactions, and customer help is award winning. Thank you, a customer for life, Ron

Since buying the .40 carbine a year and a half ago, I had been planning on getting the pistol too. When I saw it with the laser for $145, I finally pulled the trigger. Took it to the range for the first time today and used five pre-loaded mags that I already had for my lightly used carbine, plus the one that came with the pistol, for a total of 60 rounds through it today. While I had some feeding issues with the sparsely used mags and a new, uncleaned gun straight out of the box, I was ecstatic with how this thing shot. Everything was in a tight fist in a top left quadrant group from the bullseye center out to about three and half inches. As I moved through the mags and became more familiar with the trigger and the sights, the group really tightened, and by the time I was finished, a one inch hole opened up in the paper just left of and touching the center of the target. I wish I had come with more ammo, but I shot my Shield .40, as well. I am extremely pleased, especially for what I paid for this gun...haven't even fooled with the laser. Will make a great range pistol and nightstand gun, and if you run out of ammo, you can beat a bad guy into submission, as it weighs three pounds.

I had been looking at these for awhile and then one day it was way cheaper than I had ever seen it and was on the 180 layaway program which meant I could get it even though the funds were low until next payday. Got it quickly and took it to the range. Thing shoots better than my beretta 96a1. Even without the laser on it it shot better groups. I don't know what it is but for some reason I love hipoints guns. They are so fugly that they are beautiful. I just love how they didn't care about looks and made a gun that goes bang every time. I put 200 rounds through it and had no issues. That is better than my berreta and sig who both had feeding issues and had to go get work done by factory. This thing can also act as a melee weapon if you run out of rounds for it. It is heavy and ugly bt darn it it shoots awesome. Now the down side is that Hi-point is now offering a laser that fits against the trigger guard and looks like a actual built for it laser. It is $95 and that is very close to what I paid for it. The laser works ok but looks chincy. Anyhow; I would recommend this thing to anyone. It costs very little and shoots awesome. And as a big plus it uses the same mags as my 4095ts carbine. That is cool and saves me some money on mags. BUY IT IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT IT!!! You won't be sorry.

Gun appeared to be in excellent/perfect condition but would not feed ammo and appeared to have a misshapen feed ramp. Returned it to Hi-Point Iberia and received pistol back working perfectly with any ammo. Very rapid turn around. Pistol is heavy, ugly and clunky but very accurate and laser is a lot of fun. Hi-Point lovers like me enjoy the massive size and weight in these simple but reliable guns.

my hi-point .40 jcp, fires flawlessly out of the box, no powdercoat on feed ramps ect, as stated in other reviews. Very pleased with buds service, and the hi-point! Though it is very bulky and large compared to others of the same caliber, you cant beat it for the price. thanks to the team at buds for making it so painless to order on-line.
