Good all around shooter. Accurate & reliable. I have three of them with plenty of extra ten round magazines. I have shot thousands of rounds with no issues. Only problems is with the twenty-five round magazine, and I stop using them. You can't go wrong for the price.

This weapon was accurate right out of the box. Very light weight. Plinkster it is.... Shoot it all day, a quick clean and it's ready to go tomorrow. Fun little weapon and, my wife loves to shoot it. For the price from Buds, you can't beat it!
For you preppers, it would make a great inexpensive Bug Out weapon - strap it to you pack with a couple hundred rounds, good to go. Won't be eating venison but pretty much any other small game.

When you factor in cost and quality, this is an exceptional rifle. I encourage you to check out the multitude of YouTube videos about this rifle. Nearly all of them are very positive. Many preppers that I came across listed the Plinkster 702 as a must have for your bug-out bag. The dovetail mount on the top of the rifle is the longest I've come across. I was able to mount a full-sized Simmons 4-9x32 .22 Mag scope in exactly the right position without have to take full advantage of its eye relief. While it doesn't have the full compliment of after-market modifications and accessories of the Ruger 10/22, I was able to find many items such as a full-sized rifle scope, muzzle brake, high-capacity magazine, cheek riser, and a shooter's bipod. Because it comes in so many variants, such as the 715 and 802, not having all of the aftermarket stocks is not a big deal. Having said that, make sure that you look at the variants and buy the model that suits you best. These range from a model with a thumbhole stock, one with a tip-down fore-stock, a camouflaged Duck Commander model, and a fully outfitted AR-style model.

Some people have complained about the cost and availability of magazines. A little bit of shopping around results in finding plenty of 10-round magazines for $20 and under. I found a three-pack at Cabela's for $55. It is a bit of a challenge to find the high-capacity mags. If your state allows these, I highly recommend getting a model that includes it.

The checkering on the hand-grip part of the rear stock is well-defined and deep. I was able to get a very nice cheek weld. If you prefer to stay with "iron-sights," the hooded front sight and two-position rear sight give a very nice sight picture. If you only have $150 to spend on a .22 autoloader, this is your rifle.

After selling my Marlin 60, my 7 year old son was interested in shooting, so after getting him started on a 177 cal pellet rifle, he shot this rifle for the first time last weekend using the iron sights. At 50 yards, he grouped 50 rounds into 1".
I was so excited for him that I went to Wally World and purchased a 22 mag 3x9 scope and after 50 rounds sighting it in for him, he proceded to group another 50 rounds into 1 hole at 100 yards the next day.
After a 500 round weekend, we were more than pleased with this rifle. It ate every brand of 22 with the exception of CCI Stingers, these wouldn't stack in the mag. No big deal, I'll blast the Stingers through my Walther P-22.

This is a very is very good for simple plinking with friends. the rail on top of the receiver readily accepts scopes designed for .22 or air rifles. While the build quality is not on par with the legendary ruger 10-22 for the price these are excellent and offer reasonable accuracy. I am able to hit a cowbell at 100 yards with ease.

If you're looking for something dirt cheap to put tons of cheap .22 ammo through I would strongly recommend this rifle.
