HATFIELD 12

Hatfield SAS Semi-Automatic 12 Gauge 28" 3" Walnut Stock Black High Gloss

The Hatfield SAS 12 is a semi-automatic 12 ga. shotgun featuring a walnut
buttstock and forend with deluxe checkering and a recoil absorbing 1"
ventilated rubber recoil pad. The SAS operating system is a unique blend of
gas and inertia, where a gas piston moves only one inch to kick the bolt
rearward and start the bolts inertia travel through the operating cycle;
fewer moving parts provides higher dependability. The SAS gas/inertia
system operates dependably with most commercially available 2.75" and 3"
shells and a special gas piston is included for use when firing the new
ultra-high energy 3 magnum ammunition currently on the market. The
gas/inertia action is housed inside a receiver machined from 7075 aluminum
finished in a high gloss black anodizing. The SAS 28" barrel is chambered
for both 2.75" and 3" shells and features a full length ventilated rib and
screw-in chokes; three chokes (F, Mod and IC) are included. The barrel
finish is high gloss black chrome to match the receiver. Magazine capacity
is 4+1 rounds, but with a magazine plug included to limit the capacity to
2+1 rounds. Total weight is approximately 7.75 lbs.

Not a bad gun for the price. Shot a few limits of dove and pheasant with it. Stock cracked after a heavier round though.

It’s a nice looking gun. The first shot I shot it the wood covering the forearm split and flew to the ground. Needless to say I was sorely disappointed. I contacted the Hatfield company and they said that they could sell me a new forearm. I tried to explain that it split on the first shot fired and they could have cared less.

Gun performs 10/10. I never had any problems with it jamming. It’s definitely worth the pricePsa: watch a little YouTube about how the gun is before you start assuming the product is “cheap/ not worth it”. Also feeds really well with 3 inch shells.

The shotgun was exactly what I expected and everything is in excellent shape. The price was competitive and the shotgun was delivered on the date given.

Man I can't say enough about the quality of this gun, don't let the price fool you, this is a quality firearm. Brand new out of the box it worked beautifully, and looks like a $1000 gun!

nice looking. Hard to load and plug was too long, plugged the whole tube. Had to cut it down. Instructions said gun comes in 2 pieces, it was already assembled. Hard to charge with small charging handle, not sure if larger handle would even help.

Bought this for my daughters birthday. The reviews on YouTube seemed ok. We went to the range and the guns action and loading tube was VERY stiff. Finish was fair. The big problem was the FTF's. Every 5 or 6 rounds it would "click". After about 100 rounds she was so disappointed so I gave her my over/under. I learned my lesson. You get what you pay for. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS ONE.

Shot this shotgun for the first time over the weekend.I had bought a clay pigeon thrower just to be able to shoot this shotgun.50 rounds of low brass,no ftf or fte.I'm really liking this shotgun. It's my first semi auto shotgun but have used my dad's Remington model 11 on many occasions and I have to say that this shotgun seemed to have less recoil than it.Fired many multiple's shots shooting at the clay's with no surprises at all, worked flawlessly.I had read the bad reviews of the first batch of these guns but apparently they have got the bugs out because I had no problems at all granted I was only shooting light field loads.I'll probably never shoot a high brass magnum load out of this gun.Seems like that was where the problems rose such as cracked forearm stock and whatnot.Plus buying from Bud's was problem free.Thank you Bud's Gun Shop

I read & saw some bad reviews on this gun... I also watched some YouTube videos of guys who had cracked forearms on their Hatfield SAS guns. But, I also know that you`re not supposed to tighten the forearm cap as tight as it will go! Rule of thumb: Tighten up all the way & back it off two or three clicks. Today; was the first time I shot it & it failed to eject the very first round. After that, it cycled flawlessly. I shot some 2-3/4" 7-1/2 "light" target loads thru it. Normally; these light loads are good for pump guns or double barrels, not semi autos. I let my skeptical best friend shoot it too, he was pretty impressed with the gun, especially for the price! It does have a genuine walnut stock & forearm, the bluing could be better, but I`ve seen worse... When I picked up the gun at my FFL the gunsmith & I assembled it. He remarked: " This is designed a lot like a Benelli " One more thing to point out: I cleaned the snot out of this gun & read the manual before shooting it! I also cleaned up (Fine brass wire wheel) some of the internals, as they were not as "finished' as they could be, or should have been (It`s made in Turkey...) Is it of a Benelli or Browning quality? - Heck no. Is it worth owning & shooting? - Yes. It`s a good looking gun & seems to work very well. I also like the fact that to shoot 3" shells that you replace(swap out) the included piston & not move rings around like on my Remington 1187 super mag
