Hornady Precision Hunter 300WSM Ammo 200gr ELD-X 20 round box - Brass Casing

I have been looking for these shells for two years, and Bud’s finally got some in. I received a message as soon as they came in and purchased. Thank you Bud’s! I shot my last rounds during deer season last year.

I was having a lot of trouble with a savage long range with the fluted heavy barrel and laminated stock. 6 or so types of ammo and 7 or 8 hand loads yielded only modest results. This factory load was transformative yielding sub Moa groups. Probably 1/2 moa with a better scope and rest. Plan to use for long distance hog hunting.

Boat tail bullets and very accurate. 200gr so hard hitting. Will buy again.

Excellent accuracy. Not for elk. I was able to hold half MOA groups with these rounds. I hit a 14 in dia target at 800 yds. The terminal ballistics are not great. I shoot an elk at 83 yards with this round through the lungs without hitting a rib on entry. The bullet did not pass through, and the cup and core separated. The bullet core fragmented and jacket expanded perfectly delivering massive internal tissue damage. However there was no blood trail. The jacket was found lodged on the inside of the rib cage. In my opinion this bullet would be great for animals smaller than elk. A bullet should stay together and make a pass through on an elk. This ammo would be great for target, whitetail, mule deer, antelope, ect...
