Henry Single Shot .308 Winchester 22" Blue, Walnut Stock - 22" Barrel, 1 Round, Wood, American Walnut Stock

Beautiful gun! I've been wanting a single shot hunting rifle for many years. I'm still amazed that it only costs $400. The high quality of the wood, engraving and the overall workmanship is awesome at this price point. This is my 3rd Henry and they're all excellent rifles. I mounted a Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50 on it and sighted it in at 200 yards w/Remington Core-Lokt 180 grain rounds. I'm hoping to improve on the 1.75" 4-shot groups with some different ammo. The only drawback to this rifle is that it's much smaller and lighter than I anticipated. But, that might turn into an advantage after a long day of hunting. This would be an ideal hunting rifle for a youngster. Thanks Henry!!

What can I say . . . it's a Henry! Clean break open, smooth trigger, beautiful wood with a great finish. Not one of their top of the line, but that's only the dressing. I wanted a no frills, dependable, smooth, accurate that would stand the test of time and the elements while being able to hit every shot. With the iron sights at 100 yds I kept a 2" grouping. After putting on a good 3x9x40 I managed a 4 round group less than 1.25" @ 100 yds off hand. That's a solid shooting rifle. I'm in love again every time I pull it up to my cheek.

I'm a 62 year old man that had a few rifles but wanted something simple but nice. The HENRY SINGLE SHOT was that gun for me. I still cannot believe a rifle built like it is with beautiful wood stock for under 400 bucks ! Yes its true. Also a company to stands behind your weapon too. I called HENRY and ask them to help me with a scope mount and was actually helped by phone and email. WOW ! I installed a VORTEX 4X12 on it and took this .308 to the range. 5 rounds and I was shooting 2 inch groups at 100 yards. That's me shooting with not really great vision too ! Take a hard look at these rifles. I shot -- I kill. I love this gun !

Beautiful finish, great wood, glass smooth action right out of the box. Slight creep in trigger absorbed in first half pound of pull. Well worth the money.

The furniture is beautiful but my checkering is mashed flat and their are multiple hairline scratches on the barrel, also there are are machine marks that are very visible on the trigger guard. And the hinge point has a noticeable gap that is unnessecary. I will be contacting Henry for this “step above” single shot rifle. Just a lemon, nothing unexpected here. Just business.

I have bought several guns over the years from Buds and as always this was a very smooth transaction. The Henry single shot 308 that I purchased was flawless and absolutely beautiful. I have ran 40 rounds through it and I expect this to be my “go to rifle” for deer hunting. For the money I don’t think I could have bought a better rifle.

Rifle arrived in great shape. Well made and accurate with irons. Buds was quick and painless as always.

Been waiting for Buds to have this one in stock, worth the wait. Henry did a really nice job on this one, the wood is beautiful the steel is more mirror finish. I was able to take it to my club grounds on July 4 for the first firing. The gun is a little light but the recoil pad is really nice. Started off at100 yrds open sights, and every shot was in a 10 inch circle.off a rest. I also bought 5 boxes of assorted weight round for it and shot 40 rounds that morning. Can’t wait to get some glass on it and fine tune at 200, great job Henry, lots of drulling by on lookers when I work up some loads for this one I’m sure it will bring home the beef. And of course dealing with Buds is a pleasure.
