Sig Sauer P716 DMR Gen 2 Semi-Automatic 7.62 NATO/.308 WIN - FDE/Tan, 16" Barrel, 20+1 Rounds, Synthetic, Flat Dark Earth Stock

First of all BUDS GUN SHOP has excellent service - very convenient to order without having to contact my FFL separately. What’s more, BUDS prices are the lowest that can be found - I know because I spent many many many days and weeks and months researching the best price after settling on the SIG 716G2 DMR. Finally, the shipping was incredibly FAST - my FFL received my rifle after two days.
SIG 716G2 DMR:
This is an excellent rifle - quality, fit and finish is superb. Activating the charging handle, you can tell how well the bolt, carrier, and receiver are mated - charges like the bolt carrier is riding on roller bearings, very smooth. I am a long distance 1000 yd shooter and have a 338 Lapua Kelbly that I use for 500-1000 yds. I bought the SIG 716G2 DMR for 500 yards and under , with Federal GMM 168gr. I’m able to reliably shoot .47+ MOA using Leopold VXR-4-12X 50mm in Warne MSR mount. I replaced 3 things that I think SIG skimped on for cost cutting reasons: 1) The so-called SIG Match 2-stage trigger - I installed a Geissele SD3G trigger , 2) The bare bones magpul CTR stock (I installed the ACS stock) and the 3) Decent but not stellar ambi charging handle (replaced with Phase 5 AMBI 716 charging handle - BEEFY)
The rifle is my favorite. By the way, I chose it over the SCAR 20S as well as all other piston precision semi autos.

Accuracy beyond expectations. Haven’t worked a load up for the rifle yet. Used rounds loaded for my m1a. This is a .5 moa 5 shot group weapon @ 100yds all day long with that ammo. Best group out of the bunch was .3 moa for 5 shots. It’s pricey. It’s fit and finish is top notch. IMO there is no AR 10 style rifle made today that can match its value from a price/accuracy/quality of build/ function& overall performance. After cycling through 6- 25 round pmags & 1- 20 round p mags 3 times... 100% reliability. IM A BIG FAN!!! Now the cons... butstock is poor choice as you can’t have a good cheek weld with a scope mounted. Replaced with a luth-ar mod 3 , 6 position adjustable. Great improvement. That’s it for cons so far
