This product is an excellent choice in regard to a 10mm, 1911, handgun. it is a shame that Sig Sauer has discontinued its production. It will given many years of great service and its functionality is above other like firearm products.

Full disclosure... I’m a bit of a Sig Sauer fan boy. However I looked at all brands before deciding to purchase this firearm as my first 1911 platform. For the money the Tacops 1911 seemed to provide the best value within the 10mm 1911 mid-priced products. Upon receiving the firearm I was glad to see it’s exactly as pictured on Buds website. The fit and finish was quality, and what I’ve become accustomed to when buying Sig Sauer firearms. I picked this firearm up as a lower 48 (bear county) sidearm, so reliability was important to me. I’ve only been to the range once so far and fired 190 rounds. I had 1 FTF using Sellier Bellot 180 grain FMJ, and it happen on the second magazine. I shot 40 165gr Gold Dot Underwood ammo with no issues. I’m happy with the purchase and have no regrets. Looking forward to putting more rounds through the firearm, and carrying it on the trail later this year.

This is my first 1911, and I absolutely love this gun. Laser beam accurate right out of the box, controls are tight but not so tight that they require wearing in, trigger is short and crisp, just how I like it. This is my 5th Sig product and it’s just as high quality as the rest of them. Recoil is manageable, even for a 10mm. Came with 4 mags, all of which have worked out just fine, no failures. More expensive than a lot of other 1911 models but you get every cents worth out of this model.

Have wanted a 10mm for some time now and decided on this Sig Sauer after quite a bit of research. I had also considered two different variants of the Colt Delta Elite, and a Ruger 1911 in 10mm. I've only had the gun for a few days but have already put a couple hundred rounds through it with no failures of any kind. While 10mm does have some punch, this gun shoots very smoothly and accurately. I was impressed with the ability to shoot tight groupings with this gun. It is a heavy, well-constructed firearm, and thus far I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

This is one of my favorite firearms today, but I'm writing a somewhat negative review because I am evaluating what came out of the box. Pro's: fit & finish, magazine quantity and quality, excellent sights, nice integrated magazine well, very accurate, and 10mm punch. I did not like the plastic grips, and felt that they were sub-standard for a 1911 in this price range. The big issue for me was out-of-the-box reliability, which I found unacceptable. Mine jammed roughly twice out of every fifty rounds, there seemed to be some degradation where it started a little better and was getting worse with time over the first 500 to 600 rounds. On each occurrence the slide would stay back as though the magazine were empty, but you could see visually that the magazine was not empty and the hold back catch was not engaged. You could push the slide forward with your hand, it felt as though there were no recoil spring. Sometimes when I slid it part way forward the recoil spring would suddenly engage, other times I would cycle it once or twice before the recoil spring would suddenly engage. Sig's design uses a flat wire recoil spring and a short guide rod, which is also thinner than normal to accommodate the flat wire spring. After analyzing the problem I decided to test with a full length guide rod (FLGR), which also necessitated a change to the recoil spring plug and to the more typical round wire recoil spring. (I did not see any narrow diameter full length guide rods that would have been compatible with Sig's flat wire spring.) Changing those three items fully resolved the problem. In fairness to Sig, I want to emphasize that I did not return the firearm nor give them a chance to make it right.

On the fence about how to spend $1000.00+ on this unnecessary 10mm. I wanted one....not needed one. Let me say....awesome firearm! I own several CZ's, some Springfields, Smith and Wessons....first Sig Sauer, and first 1911 style for me. Wanted a Pig gun....and this did not disappoint! Just back from the range after breakdown and cleaning....fired all 180 grains, Armscor FMJ, HSM Bear load FMJ, Sig V-Crown HP's and Buffalo Bore HP's. Anything from 524 ft/lb. to 724 ft/lb. Not one FTF or FTE....not one malfunction of any type. At 25 yds. the night sights are dialed in a bit low....the hot loads were hitting around 6" high....but only at distance, and with my bad eyes. Groups are great....and recoil feels like a .45acp out of this 5" barrelled Sig. 4 mags supplied is a +. First few mags, I experienced a failure to hold the slide open upon discharging final round of the mag, but after break in of 200 rounds....all was functioning perfectly.

Everything you would expect from a Sig Sauer. The 10mm Tacops is a top quality pistol. Trigger breaks clean. Recoil management exceeded my expectations. Zero malfunctions. Fit and finish are A+. This gun is without peer within it's price class. Of course Buds made it easy to buy. Great job guys!

I received my Sig Tascops 1911 10 mm about three weeks ago and can't be happier. I have shot 200 round through it with no problems. This Sig is awesome and would recommend it to anyone looking for a 1911.
