David, Yes this is a limited edition of 2016 of these rifles. Released in 2016 to commemorate Remington's 200 anniversary. Remington made 200 year anniversary editions of Model 870, Model 1100, Model 700, Model 7600 and Model 1911 R1. They do have special serial numbers.

Remington's 200th Anniversary 7600 rifle features a sculpated 24 karat gold inlay portraying Remington's founder walking with his first forged barrel. Each one is presented in a commemorative Bicentennial box with an historical Remington timeline and certificate of authenticity.
