What does it mean that "Springfield is currently no longer shipping items with the xd gear"?I only noticed this on some the pistols. Thank you

At this time Springfield is not shipping the gear that they used to give out with each handgun only certain models. They have a promotion now until 8/31/17 called gear up that will get you 4 mags a dual mag pouch and a holster if you purchase and submit documentation for the promo. Its a pretty good deal I had one earlier in the year. I wound up with six mags for my handgun after the promotional items came in. They use to throw in a speed loader, t-shirt, and other things you didn't need. Now it still comes with nice extras, they just cut out the stuff nobody wanted.

I always wanted an XD. So, I bought this Mod.2 on a Thursday and I had it delivered the following Monday. About the handgun, it's is what you would expect from Springfield. An aesthetically pleasing firearm. At least to me. It's a .40 Sub-compact so it is a bit snappy but not something that a good grip and stance can't control. It is a bit on the heavy side for being a sub-compact but not too bad. It came with an extended 10rnd magazine and a standard 9rnd magazine. I did not, however, get the holster, speed loader or magazine pouch. I thought I would, but didn't. You get spare fiber optics for replacement. Both green and red which is really cool. All in all a great shooter and a good ccw. Plan to train a lot with it. Thank you, Buds! I'm very happy and satisfied with my purchase. The extra holster and magazine pouch would have been nice though but I guess that's the way Springfield packaged this gun. Thanks again, buds!
