Please Note: We have received these rifles from several different suppliers over the years.  They were all sealed with cosmoline to prevent rust and corrosion, so expect to spend some time removing this oily substance.  The lot we are currently shipping from includes ONLY the rifle, sling, bayonet, and mag pouch as pictured above.

The Russians modernized their model 1891 rifle into what would become one of the most successful military arms the world has ever known! Its simple and robust design, accuracy and awesome reliability served the Soviets well as their main battle rifle of WWII. Under appreciated until recently, the Mosin Nagant is one of the hottest collectibles on the market today!

I am very pleased with this gun. I got a 1943 Izzy that was actually issued to a soldier. I would know because the amount of blood on the trigger guard and on the stock underneath. My forensics skills tell me that the gun was fired around 20 times not even enough to break in the bolt. the barrel was in such excellent condition that it amazed me. This is a gun that anybody will enjoy 100% happy with this gun yet still sad about the blood.......

This is my first surplus rifle. I am looking foward to stripping the cosmoline off and lovingly getting to know all the parts. So far, rifle looks great and in the condition expected.

I was pleasantly surprised. Really nice gun, very good condition. Better condition and cheaper than the gun shows in Houston. You can't go wrong with a couple of these !!!

It's hard to go wrong here. Paying a little over $100 for a rifle like this is hard to beat. My FFL dealers said it was the best condition one they had seen. There is only a few dings on the stock and some wear around the bolt and magazine but other wise is in great shape, nothing a little refinish can fix up. I got an Izzy 1943 high wall round reciver. Going to be getting my next one from here, although I might try the higher end version. Thanks Buds!

If anyone needs a tip for taking off cosmoline, mineral spirets worked great. Soak all the parts in that for 15 minuets and rise off with hot water. For the longer parts like the barrel, 2" PVC full of mineral spirets did the job. The clean like normal with Hoppies after that.

Good gun, fair price. Shipping took a while, plus I live in CA, so I also have another 10 days to wait. Ordered the gun on july 3rd, received july 13 @FFL. Will update review once I clean and shoot it. Gun looks good for the lower cost , non hand picked rifle.

The customer service here is amazing. I ordered this gun and it arrived two days later, albeit covered in cosmoline but that just means it is well preserved. I got a 1939 izmash (or however you spell it) and the action is super-smooth compared to the 1942 izmash i ordered earlier this year. Buds also threw in an extra mag pouch and extra tools in the tool kit! Overall i am extremely satisfied with Buds Gun Shop. Well Done
