The Pointman series is built for the range, with an adjustable target rear sight and fiber optic front. Its forged slide has our Clark-style rib running between the sights to reduce glare and has front and rear cocking serrations to enable easy manipulation.

The forged stainless frame has an undercut trigger guard to get the hand a little higher on the pistol and 25 LPI front strap checkering to hold it firmly in place without being too harsh. Flats on this pistol are soft brushed while the rounds are sandblasted, giving a nice contrast. Double diamond cocobolo grips finish it off.

All of the reviews about this pistol are true – trigger has a short take up, crisp break, short reset, awesome trigger; the fit is tight with no slop; accuracy out of the box is 1.9” at 25 meters with the only ammo I’ve shot. I have not one negative comment about this Pointman. I should have had one of these sooner. And Buds makes the purchase as easy as declaring bankruptcy. I’ve NEVER had a glitch in a transaction with Buds.

Outstanding fit and finish. As nice as any 1911 at twice the price. Great trigger right out of the box. 38 Super is a blast to shoot and this pistol is incredibly accurate and runs beautifully. Well, this beauty is almost beyond belief. Fit and finish is superb as is in the other three DW I have. The red dot front sight is highly visible and fits perfectly in the notch in the rear sight for accurate aiming. I'm about half-way through break in and no issues of any kind so far. This is my first gun with a long recoil spring plug and I'm still trying to settle on the best and easiest method to remove it during disassembly.
