It’s a Colt, what can I say. That’s why everyone else attempts to make their version better, without success. Feels like an extension of my arm, points and functions beautifully.

This is a rare bird with a very limited run being made by Colt. As a lifelong 1911 .45 ACP aficionado I knew I had to have it as soon as I saw it. The build quality is great and what you would expect coming from Colt. It came with Novak LMC white 3-dot sights already installed on it saving both hassle and money down the road. You don't have to have the slide machined for a Novak dovetail and purchasing them. The Colt Defender is without a doubt the most reliable hybrid sub Officers 3" guns. They work and run flawless creating the perfect ultra compact 1911 carry pistol. They shoot very accurately for their short barrel and size as well. Most would assume they are good enough for self defense duty and minute of bad guy. You find out you get much more than that when you start doing some precision bullseye target work. They hold their own and supprize everyone who doubts them. I'm very pleased with the purchase and it makes a nice addition to my other Colt Defender reverse two-tone as well as my other sixteen 1911 .45s I own mostly of the 5" Government variety. Buds was good to me and I will continue to buy more from them. If you are looking for a ultra compact 1911 .45 ACP pistol, this one would make a great addition and you will be very satisfied with it.
