Fun to shoot. Well made. The trigger could be a touch lighter.

By far my favorite Kimber pistol. If you have the money go for it.

This thing is great. Top workmanship, very nice fit and accurate. Did my first range visit and no malfunctions. Nicely balanced. Highly recommend.

I thought my 1911 collection was complete, but when I saw it the 6" barrel i realized that was incorrect. Beautiful firearm. still dunno why you can't get 2 clips with them?
Buds transaction was flawless as usual.
The mechanical operation right out of the box was tight, smooth, and flawless. I just installed a Crimson Trace walnut handle grip and while it's not a carry weapon (at least for me) she's ready to roll.
Would definitely recommend.

I have been expanding my 1911 collection at a slow pace. When this one came across my radar I knew I had to have it. I wasn't wrong either. This might possible be the most bang for the buck in a 1911 platform in my opinion. A long slide Kimber with adjustable rear sights at this price is a no brainer. A long slide 1911 at this price is hard to beat.
This is a range gun for me. I spend a lot of ammo every year through my 1911s. This gun did exactly what I expected it to do right out of the box. I anticipated having to adjust the rear sight to my liking, but was quickly proven wrong. She is dead on out of the box for me. Trigger was a normal Kimber trigger. Decent by today's standards. I ran about 500 rounds through her in the first few days of ownership. She ran like a sewing machine. No issues to speak of. Multiple shooters had the opportunity to run her with the same results.
Due to it's length I wouldn't consider this a carry gun by any means. For the avid 1911 enthusiast this gun is a slam dunk for the collection.
This was my first transaction with Bud's. Everything went as good as I could have asked for. Shipping was in a timely manner. Everything showed up in excellent condition. Overall a great purchasing experience on my end. Won't hesitate to use them again.

I have owned a few Kimbers in the past and when I saw they had come out with a long slide model I just had to get one. I am very partial to long slide 1911's. The Kimber LS is a very exceptional looking pistol due to its size and stainless construction. The well executed wood grips make a nice contrast with the stainless steel. The fit and finish are very well done. The pistol has a good solid feel in the hand due to its weight. I have yet to shoot the pistol, but with my previous experiences with Kimber pistols I have no doubt it will perform very well.

I like this pistol. It was a little rough when I got it home. The trigger was creepy/gritty and between 5.5# and 6.0#. I took it apart to remove all the shipping preservative oils and found the barrel and frame full of what looked like soot. I blew it all out with a cleaner/lube and put it back together. I blew out the frame again before putting the slide back on. The overtravel screw was backed all the way out and the trigger pull seemed too long. I set the overtravel screw correctly and tested the trigger pull again. After adjusting and cleaning everything, the pull is now at 4 3/4# to just under 5#. I shot it around 300 times so far and the trigger is smoothing out a bit. Still a little heavy, but smoother. I suspect that it will get better with use.

This is the sweetest 1911 I've ever shot. I've shot plenty of other Kimbers before but nothing super high-end like an STI or a Les Baer or anything like that. However I've lusted after either a compensated or long slide 1911 ever since I shot a friend's Clarke custom compensated 1911, which was the most accurate 1911 I've ever shot. This pistol is easily as accurate as that one. If you can see your target and keep your focus on the front sight, it will make one-hole/cloverleaf groups. Despite the long slide, it still balances well, feels great in the hand, you don't really notice that it's heavier, and to me it points and shoots just like any other 1911. But that extra long slide is so sexy, yet it still has a standard length GI guide rod and takes down just like an original Colt - you don't even need the wrench Kimber includes in the box. The sights are amazing, although the trigger is pretty typical of guns in this price point - pretty good, but nothing to write home to mom about. The fit and finish is excellent, slide to frame is especially tight with no rattle (but the slide racks just as easily as a GI 1911), and the wood grips are absolutely beautiful. I've only shot ball ammo (it's a target pistol and I don't plan on shooting hollowpoints) with 100% functionality so far. I've already received the Kimber ambi safety I'll be installing (~$60 - I'm wrong-handed), and I plan on finding someone local to do a standard 1911 trigger job and install a smooth-faced trigger because the serrations on this one, like most all serrated triggers, chew on my finger. To be clear, it doesn't really need a trigger job if it's already shooting one-hole groups, but I want the gun to be perfect and that's all it'll take. Once done with that, I'd put it up against any other "fancier" 1911 at twice or three times the price; also Bud's came in several hundred dollars below MSRP and cheaper than any other retailer, local or online, that I could find.
