Springfield Armory Elite RO Champion 45ACP 7+1 BL - 4" Barrel, 7+1 Rounds, Composite Grips, 3-Dot Sights

I expected this to be a smooth shooting gun right out of the box it was ok, it was extremely hard to rack the slide until I had 500 some rounds through it other Springfield’s I’ve have shot were so smooth and easy to handle I was disappointed with this. I had to put some grip tape from under the trigger guard down to the mag well to get a good hold of it. For being a elite model I think it could be more refined like other 1911s in its price range, however the trigger is outstanding.

It's an absolutely gorgeous piece, masterful gunsmith work and shoots like a dream. The one and only dislike is a big one. The bushingless new system is so foreign to me it feels unpatriotic! Lol

Excellent! The whole package is well worth the value! Springfield has been in the biz a long time and the Range Officer Elite, is truly a nice gun! I have a full size stainless range officer and really enjoy shooting it. Decided to look for the compact in the same. When I came across this deal I grabbed it! So far it has been flawless, accurate, and reliable, great trigger feel, love the grips, can’t say anything bad about this gun!

Just purchased, put 100 rounds throught it. Grips are loose, known issue on other threads. No function issues at all. Does not field strip like any other 45 Ive had. Read the book first. Very happy with gun, and accessories purchased in the deal.

I received the Springfield 1911 Range Officer Elite Champion 4" barrel in 45 ACP from Bud's a few weeks ago. The process with Bud's was painless, easy, and even though it was over the Christmas & New Year's holidays the process was super quick. The Springfield RO Elite is awesome! The 4" bull barrel and the weight of the weapon combined to make a great handling and shooting experience right out of the box. Accuracy and groupings at 10 & 5 yards was superb. The finish on the weapon is excellent, and the detailing is great to look at. Springfield has done it again and furnished a compact carry 1911 that can be trusted and depended upon! it also came with a range back, (4) 7 round magazines, dual magazine carrier, and OWB holster. Can't come close to Bud's pricing anywhere locally! I would recommend this weapon platform to anyone!
