I had been intrigued by the Bond Bullpup9 for quite awhile before pulling the trigger (pun intended). I extensively researched everything about the handgun before buying. I wanted to own it because of Bond's reputation for quality and the unusual design. I wan't disappointed...the quality, fit and feel was awesome immediately. I was aware of the need to purchase crimped ammo on Bond's approved list. The very first time I operated the slide with ammo it jammed and I couldn't clear it easily. It was ammo on the approved list. I called Bond and they told me that brand of ammo had changed something in their manufacturing process and would no longer work. Bond told me how to clear the jam but I didn't feel comfortable hammering on a new gun that had never been fired. After paying a gunsmith to clear the jam and function test the gun, I put a few hundred rounds through it with no problem. I used a different approved ammo.
I love how the gun shoots. It's accurate and the perceived recoil is mild for such a small gun. The trigger is smooth with a long pull. It feels like a quality revolver. This is now my primary carry gun. I don't mind having to use certain ammo. I just make sure I use what I know works in it. I know it is a little expensive but the positives outweigh any negatives and I'm very happy with my purchase.

I love the Bond Arms Bullpup 9mm. It’s concealable and quite a beautiful piece of artillery. I highly recommend this gun. Accurate and smooth shooting.

GREAT GUN, amazingly accurate but then for such a small gun it has a 4" barrel. They recommend White Box ammunition which runs flawlessly but I'm a reloader so what I did to assure trouble free shooting was to measure a White Box round with a micrometer seeing how much of a crimp there was and matched it with my reload crimps and they run perfectly. It's a well constructed, sturdy gun and a lot of fun to shoot. It's funny loading the magazine since you load the rounds totally backwards compared to regular traditional guns. The trigger is a bit firm but very smooth and manageable. You'll love this gun and cherish it in your collection. It also makes a very nice carry gun since its size fits in your pocket while still having a 4" barrel, so it's not a belly gun by any means.

I’ve put about 150 rounds through it. Primarily American Eagle 124gr, some old Speer gold dot, and Hornady Critical Defense 115 gr. FTX. All are on the approved ammo list. I also fired Underwood Xtreme Defender that is not on the list. All worked well with no issues. Bond Arms has taken the original Boberg design and made it more reliable and eliminated the need for grease by plating the barrel and other parts. It has a long, double action only trigger pull that works for me and is similar to that first trigger pull on a Beretta 92 or most revolvers. However, the reset is about as long as they come. If you like more exotic pistols with unique functionality like an HK P7 or Daewoo PD51 and you want some thing very compact, then this is a good pocket pistol option. Checkout the videos on the Bond Arms website. Again, it has all the good and bad of a snappy and concealable pocket pistol.

Where to start with this one. 1 star for reliability and 5 for style and minus a point for the frustrations.
The GOOD: beautiful gun, very nice to look at.
The BAD (all using approved ammo): first 200 rds there were 7 failures to eject and to feed.
Bond takes it and looks it over change ejector spring and send it back.
The next 150 rds after Bond repairs there are 4 more fte/ftf issues.
I contact Bond and have to talk them into sending a new return spring, them not wanting to, thinking that is the issue.
Last 50 rds after spring change and there are 2 more fte/ftf
This was purchased first because of the cool factor, over looking all the special ammo requirements etc, I can use brands specified, long list.
But when i'm using the #1 specified ammo and still end up with a dozen or more issues even after Bond put there hands on it is unacceptable by any standard.
Contact Bond again and they tell me " well maybe the casing was a bit out of spec on that box of ammo, and that is causing it." if that is the case then they should specify that no ammo will work in this gun ,but try these first list.
Now Bond says they don't know what to do and are not being helpful.
So now I have a very expensive ,nice looking paperweight.
my $200 carry gun has over 1000rds with ZERO failures of any kind. So keep that in mind when thinking about purchasing this gun-shaped paperweight.
Was so excited about this gun coming out, had been following it since news broke of its release. To finally break down and spend this kind of money on it and have it completely disappoint with so many failures was a huge bummer. I gave it every chance and now it is for sale.

This is a great 9mm pocket pistol. Accuracy is real good and the slide is very easy to operate. Bud's, as always, was excellent! I would recommend this firearm without hesitation.

I have not shot it yet but will soon. However I find it to be one of the most comfortable small hand guns I have experienced. And believe me as a retired police officer I have shot my share. The action is smooth and fluid, the balance is perfect. I cannot wait to get it on the range. I will be glad to give you an update after I put a few rounds through it. Respectfully

Got the Bullpup9 to fill the need for a "pocket size" handgun in 9mm that is easy to conceal. PROS: DAO action is smooth as butter and "safe" enough to suit me; longer barrel (a result of the "bullpup" design) plus good sights =_ accurate shooter; 7+1 capacity is adequate; it IS easy to conceal, being about the same size as a Sig P938 but a half inch shorter; beautiful gun, well-engineered and well-built. CONS: Expen$ive, must use crimped ammo so the extractor doesn't pull the cartridge apart, wish it cold be a little narrower (bur it needs to be kinda wide), watch out buying holsters 'cause the mfr-recommended ones may not actually fit; a bit difficult to get a full magazine in with one in the chamber. BOTTOM LINE: Love the gun! Have put ~200 rounds through it -- had one stovepipe in the first dozen rounds when it was stiff, zero issues after that. For a small handgun, the felt recoil is no big deal and for me it shoots straight. You do have to be careful feeding it (no Blazer!!!) but it's not that hard to find ammo on the approved list. It has turned out to be everything I hoped it would be, nicely fills the need I bought it for. I'd buy it again. Bud's and my FFL Roy's each delivered the great service I have come to expect.

Beautiful pistol. Haven't shot the gun and may not?????? You really have to watch how you hold this gun. I have a fingers forward grip and if I was to shoot the gun like that I would be missing the tip of my finger. Since they made the slide longer,I'm hoping this early one may increase in value. Maybe in a hundred years or so it will be worth twice what I paid for it.

I think it would make a good concealed carry weapon as long as you break it in and find good defense ammo it likes. I've heard these are picky about certain types of ammo, so you'll likely have to try a couple brands to see Wich one cycles flawlessly. If you don't mind doing that it would be great, it's small and compact, light. Speer gold dot, and Hornady Critical Defense 115 gr. Are both on the approved list of ammo for this gun and both are solid defense ammos. All in all I think it's definitely worth a shot. Hope this helps.
