I absolutely love this gun! The magazine locks tight. It eats everything! I love it.

This variant of the Remington 870 12 gauge improves on the original tube-fed design by substituting a detachable box magazine that holds as many as six shells. My personal preference would have been for a magazine housing that relied on a button release, but there is no serious drawback with the design chosen by Remington. New magazines fit tightly and may need some minor fitting, but once they've been broken in they work fine. It's easier and faster to reload this shotgun than it is to reload the original tube design. I rate it only four out of five solely because some accessories that are meant for the tube-fed version are not fully compatible with the new version.
