This is my third Bersa and it is just as awesome as the other two. Im glad Bersa started making guns here in the United States, in the great State of Georgia. I WANTED A 45 FOR HOME PROTECTION AND I REALLY LIKED THE 1911's BUT THE PRICE OF MOST WAS VERY HIGH. ALSO THE 1911's FIRST SHOT IS A SINGLE ACTION, YOU HAVE TO PULL THE HAMMER BACK THEN PULL THE TRIGGER MAYBE COSTING YOU ANOTHER SECOND. THIS PISTOL IS SINGLE OR DOUBLE ACTION IN CASE YOU GET EXCITED AND FORGET TO PULL THE HAMMER BACK. IT IS OF GOOD QUALITY AND IS ISSUED TO THE ARGENTINIAN ARMY.

Great gun. Too big for my hand. I have smaller hands (my wife says short thumbs). I really want to carry a .45 and this would be perfect IF... the ridge were removed from the grip. It wrecks my thumb by the 20th round. I tried to get a second factory grip to experiment with and the distributor says they are out of stock. I have not given up hope and plan to try making a wood grip or having something 3D printed. It's worth it for this gun. It is well compact for being a .45 and handles nicely. I recommend the gun highly if you have normal man hands and are not a sad stubby thumb like me.. oh the sorrows.

Saw this weapon in a gun show, passed on it at the time thinking I can find it at a local gun shop. Nobody could find one. Online I found 1 but they wanted almost 500 dollars. Then I remembered Buds. Ordered the pistol,received it 2 days later at my local ffl. Pistol shoots great, put 350 rounds thru it 2 trips to the range. I purchased the Bersa thinking it was a reliable weapon. After two 7 round magazines were shot through it the slide would not stay locked back in the open position. The slide lock lever had sheared off the shaft it was on. I expected it to last a lot longer before malfunction. Bersa had me send it to one of their gunsmiths and they turned it around in 2 days. When I got the weapon back I test fired it shooting two 7 round magazines with no problems. But i'm now gun-shy to shoot it more as who knows what will break next. I have 7 pistols and never had anything like this happen to any other handgun I've owned.
