KRS SCAL001 SPHINX SC 9MM 13RD - Blue/Black, 3.1" Barrel, 13+1 Rounds, Polymer Grips

I took this gun to the range for the first time.Having seen a number of other reviews and videos on you tube I cleaned and oiled it first because some said they were shipped dry. It was dryer than some other guns I have bought but did not appear to me to be completely dry. In any case it is probably a good policy to do this with any gun. On the range it performed flawlessly. I fired Winchester white box, Perfecta, Remington HTP and Remington HTP +P. The accuracy with the standard rounds was consistent but a little low on the target. The +P's were spot on. In my experience this is a very accurate pistol especially for something of its size. The gentleman I went to the range with even commented on my improved shooting with this gun.

I got the bigger brother for this gun a few months ago and was incredibly impressed with that gun's 1911 like accuracy. This gun is just a bit smaller, and I was kicking myself for getting a small increase in concealment offset by what was likely to be a decrease in accuracy given the 3.1 inch barrel on this gun. But I was very pleasantly surprised to find that this gun is also incredibly accurate. Just back from my first range trip where I was able to put all 13 rounds into an 4 inch group at 15 yards, and I'm not that great of a shot. At 10 yards, the same 13 rounds fit into a 3 inch group with 3 rounds making one jagged hole in the middle. This gun isn't cheap, but if you are looking for a gun about the size of a Glock 26 and are willing to pay almost double the price of that gun then this is a great option. Definitely well worth the cost, IMHO.

Bud's sent the Sphinx S9-A1 pistol quickly. The pistol is a little jewel that packs a punch. At seven yards center of target hits are common. No failures of any kind. +P fires well. The pistol is easy to conceal. I purchased an Alien Gear C-Tuck 3.0 for it -- excellent setup. Thanks to Bud's.
