Great rifle for the money. The only thing I would change is the stock. Will be switching out the stock and getting a bigger bolt handle.

Bear, Buffalo, the Brush Hunter in the 375 Ruger can handle it all. Buds saved me a fortune in cost, shipping, and the transfer. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Couldn't be happier with the rifle or the transaction.

Savage quality. What can I say. The gun is accurate but expensive to shoot. A tack driver if you can hang on to it. The stock is to light for the caliber. It kills on both ends. It certainly makes a statement when it hits the target. I give it 5 stars though.

I haven't had a chance to fire the rifle, just having purchased 2 boxes of Hornaday 270 grain ($100 ). Expensive to buy loaded rounds. I cannot find brass at this time for reloading, either. The rifle should promise to be easy to carry thoughwith the 20-inch barrel, medium contour, and composite stock. I really appreciate a rifle with iron sights - especially one that isn't necessarily meant to be a long range round. One gripe about the rifle - seemed like the barrel had not been cleaned since factory testing. The bold shroud piece (rounded partial circumference piece forward of the bolt end) fell off after I inserted the bolt and operated a few times after the "open the box" cleaning.

Love this. Easy to get the perfect fit. A joy to shoot if you like the larger calibers

I purchased this gun from buds to go on a bear hunt in some thick and steep terrain. Bear hunt was fun but I didn’t end up getting a shot. The hunt was unsuccessful but I enjoyed carrying a shorter and lighter rifle around. Zeroed it with Hornady Outfitter 250grain GMX ammo. It’s the only thing I’ve shot out of it but after a complete disassemble deep clean, I zeroed the iron sights at 100yds. After the iron sights were zeroed I slapped on a Leupold 1.5-5 VX3i and zeroed it with that. I’m consistently getting groups less that 1.5”, often around 1.25” and a couple times less than 1” at 100yds. I’m sure it would shoot better if a better man was behind the trigger and if I played with different types of ammo.
If you put a scope on this thing, getting one with long eye relief is MANDATORY. It’s manageable but kicks very hard. I would liken it to a stout 3” buckshot shell. Maybe not as bad as the federal 3.5” bazooka Turkey shells.
The barrel on mine was free floating from the factory and the plastic stock feels a little cheap but it’s definitely stout enough and doesn’t flex noticeably when you shoot offhand or from a bench. The bolt cycles pretty smoothly after a good cleaning. No issues feeding or ejecting. I was considering butting a Boyd’s on it but I like the plastic because I don’t have to worry about scratching it up on bushy/thorny situations and it’s pretty light.
Overall I’m very pleased with gun. If you are looking for this caliber then do not shy away from it because it’s cheap. After about 100 rounds my iron sights haven’t moved an inch and my scope is still spot on. Going to try a larger variety of ammo and then I will update the review with more info on accuracy.
