Savage AXIS II XP .223 Remington BUSHNELL - Blue/Black, 22" Barrel, 4+1 Rounds, Synthetic Stock

Very accurate for a budget firearm right out of the box. I shot about 50 rounds today, groups are within an inch at 50 yards.

last year I bought a savage MKII 22Lr, excellent rifle,I was practicing target shooting in a while and I made the decision to go up in caliber, I bought this axisII awesome rifle
I made adjustment to the trigger and the accuracy is perfect, clarified I'm not hunter, don't know anything that, never had shot a rifle 223rem only my experience is in handgun
but wow this rifle is a beast, I am impressed with the accuracy, 100 yards is the most that has the range whereI shoot, if had more I am sure tha it does the job well

I bought a Savage Axis in 308 win. a few years ago from Buds. It was a great gun and I had a lot of fun with it. So when I got back into shooting sports I saw they came out with a new model and I was looking for a .223 rem. rifle I decided on another Axis. This comes with the new style stock which is better than the old one. It seems a little more rigid than they old style stock and looks to have a removable spacer in the stock so you can shorten the length of pull. The major selling points for me were this model comes with the Accu-Trigger and a Bushnell Banner Scope. The Accu-Trigger is great and allows you to adjust the trigger pull while keeping safety in mind. I was looking to buy a Banner scope anyway so that was a plus. The scope is clear and sharp. If you are looking for a gun to get you hunting or if you want to do some paper punching on a budget this gun is the way to go. Keep in mind there is a major gunstock company that is now making stock for these guns and the barrels are able to be upgraded.

Excellent rifle out of the box. Cleaned and lubed before taking my first shots, and it met all my expectations. Scope is really nice for a package deal (Buschnell) Zero’d at 100yrds, pretty good groups so far as barrel is still breaking in.
