Original Old West Single-Action Look, Size and Feel. Since its introduction in 1993, the Ruger Vaquero® has dominated the cowboy action shooting world and earned its reputation for rugged reliability due to its strength and mechanical superiority. It is often referred to as "the gun that won the New West" because of its widespread popularity among single-action shooters and cowboy action competitors.

The Ruger Vaquero combines the original Old West single-action look and feel with new features. The mid-size steel frame and cylinder are scaled-down to the same size as the original 1955 Ruger Blackhawk®, closely resembling the classic single-action revolvers of the late 1800's.

Vaquero Bisley is a wonderful single action firearm. A joy to shoot, and it looks "Roy Rogers" great. Bud's provided great delivery.

First, I appreciate Buds 90 day layaway program. I wish they would extend the layaway program for 180 days on all orders over $1000. The Ruger Vaquero Bisley in 357 is amazing to shoot. The Bisley is quite heavy. The 357 cal in a cowboy gun is just more manageable for Cowboy action shooting than larger calibers. The Bisley has a bulge at the frame at the top of the handle. This creates a nice feel with a male person with medium-large hands. Firing a weapon with the Bisley handle appears with slightly more recoil control as opposed to the regular Vaquero. Gun action is smooth and what I would expect from Ruger. I'm not saying that it could use a trigger job; however, come competitors weapons in the same price point have been tuned for competition shooting. Taylor tuned "Deluxe" weapons are remarkable as well as Cimarron Evil Roys. Note all Evil Roys come from the factory with a tuning job. I have not seen Ruger with a public offer for tuning the weapons at their factory. After I get used to the conventional single action firing and aiming methods, I just can't wait to try learning fast draw out off a drop-leg holster from the hip and especially in a Bisley 357.

Pistol arrived on time great job from buds. The pistol came in perfect shape no damage of any kind . The stainless steel finish is pretty, this is one good looking pistol the action is smooth and solid. This is a well made firearm it has some weight to it and it shoots heavy factory loaded 357 mag loads with no problems and is easy to handle. The pistol is well balanced and shoots straight I also like the grips they fit my hand just right. If you are looking for a well made single action firearm this is it.

This is my first single action cowboy gun. It is sweet. It is a fairly heavy gun, making .38 special easy and .357 magnum very manageable. I have small hands so the Bisley frame and lower trigger spur works well for me. It is a sight to behold and looks great in the Galco 1880s holster/belt rig I got for it. The only negative are the cylinder drag marks. Didn't expect this on a new gun.

This is my first Bisley frame of any manufacturer and I am very pleased with the revolver. It has had about 500 hot loads of 357 down range and honestly it's just a blast to shoot. With the longish barrel, hefty weight, and nice grip this is shortly becoming my favorite single action Ruger. Shooting the hottest of magnum loads is very pleasant and cowboy .38's have almost the same felt recoil of my single six with 22 WMR rounds. I am tempted to buy another one and use them for SASS next season. If you like stainless, fixed sights, and Ruger you might just consider buying one. I kind of rolled the dice since I wasn't able to physically handle one of these anywhere before buying but have not been disappointed. I don't think I will ever consider selling this particular revolver.
