Great light-weight rifle!!
For someone looking for a quality AR-15 with out having to mortgage your house, then this is it. I bought this rifle last spring and have put over 700 rounds through without a single hiccup. This is the closest I could get to the rifle I had when I was in the army. I wasn't looking to use a scope with this rifle (there are some scopes available for mounting on the carrying handle), as I prefer the iron sights. The rifle uses either the 5.56 or .223 55 ammo, which makes it more versatile than some of the AR-15s on the market. Thanks to Bud's for the quick shipping to my FFL. The only complaint I had was that the original listing showed that the rifle came with 2 magazines, a sling and a cleaning kit, which isn't how I received it-I only got 1 magazine and the sling-which is why I only gave this rifle 4 stars. The listing was updated, and Bud's gave me a $20 gift card so I could at least get a cleaning kit for my trouble.

(Manufacturers often times change the number of magazines or the accessories included with a package - unfortunately they don't always notify retailers of the change - Buds Staff)

Holy moly, this rifle is amazing. I've always been a fan of the older style AR-15s and this delivers! I've had tons of experience with the AR-15 platform from my time in the Army and deployment, and tell truth, no difference. This rifle is super light (having a pencil barrel and A1 upper) and dead accurate. Ran 100 rounds through it first time at the range and no malfunctions, took me 10 rounds to zero, the magazine it came with is awesome, no complaints. Buds Guns shipped really quick and the price was unbeatable! If you're looking for a plain Jane AR-15 that will work and hit the mark every time, this is it. And for anyone who MAY complain abut not being able to mount things on this rifle like the newer AR15s (optic ready and what not), its replicated after the CAR-15 from vietnam, it isn't suppose to. This is for the iron sight enthusiast who wants a light rifle. Again than you Buds Guns for the fast service and great prices.

gun! No problems what so ever. The sights were dead on right out of the box. The manual FULLY explains how to take it apart for cleaning. If your looking for an affordable AR15, this is it

Great weapon worth every dollar! Fires 5.56 NATO or 223 Rem with no problems. Glad I got DPMS especially since I am not limited to just 223 like some of my friends. Very accurate to shoot. Have not had any problems with 30rd factory mags. Have some Brownells 20 rd mag that work great also. Factory supplied sling is a little short for me. Factory manual says not to shoot non-US made ammunition or warranty void. Been shooting PMC 5.56 X-TAC and 223 boattail just fine. I consider PMC US ammo even if it is now made in South Korea.

Purchased this weapon for my wife. She zeroed it with four rounds and fired another 20 through the first time out. There were no problems at all with function of the weapon. I am having some difficulty removing the fore grips for cleaning. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I will be purchasing another before the end of the year. I highly reccomend thise firearm.

I bought this AR a few months ago. Its comes with iron sights, 2 mags, a sling, and a cheap hard case. But what do you expect for the price. You cant beat it. It eats new brass, reloaded brass, and the dreaded Tula ammo. Yes, Tula ammo, the chaep stuff at walmart. No problems. I have never had a FTF or FTE. If your looking for your first AR, this is the one....

Great gun. I swapped out the hand guard, hang grip, and stock for better ones. I also added a fore grip. I've put about 1500 rounds through it. Shoots 55gr .223, 62gr 5.56, brass, and steel rounds no problems. It shoots anything you feed it, and I haven't had a malfunction yet. You can add a carry handle rail mount for a scope. Make sure you get one with the see through base so you can still use your iron sights. I got a good one from Tapco. It wedges in securely and see-through action is good. I would also invest in some better magazines. The ones included work, but they are as cheap as they come. Check out the PMags from Magpul. They are sturdy, feed well, and come in a variety of colors to match your weapon.
