Great ammunition for my k98 mauser

I have used S&B for a variety of my milsurps and never had a problem out of them. When I finally took this stuff to the range for my 1940 k98k I have to say it certainly woke up the beast compared to the weaker loads that most manufactures supply in 8mm Mauser. Tightened up the group about a half inch and for me I have always felt a gun shoots better when using the ammo as close to original load and specs as you can get. If recoil is any kind of concern to you know that a standard load 8x57 is going to give your shoulder more of a workout. Otherwise couldn't be more pleased with the ammo.

Shoot great and at the point of aim, don’t feel quite as hot of loads as surplus 8mm but I didn’t chronograph so I could be wrong, cheap price nowadays for 8mm and work with free shipping option what more can you ask for

Honestly, I haven't shot this ammo yet but bought it because of the higher muzzle speed as compared with other ammo. I did previously buy (from Bud's) this same ammo but in hollow point...it was great! This one in FMJ should be great for target shooting. I do have one huge disappointment from this purchase. When I bought the hollow point ammo, I received a nice email from Bud's giving me $5 off my next purchase. Well, I immediately tried to purchase some of this but in FMJ but discovered it was out of stock. I signed up to be notified by email when it was back available. A few weeks later, I did receive an email notice that it was back in stock so I tried to order some that same day. What was aggravating is that they would not honor my $5 off coupon code they had given me; their excuse was that it expired just a couple of days prior. So, I called them up on the main number hoping to explain my situation and get a fresh code. The guy totally blew me off and, in a smart way, said "you should have used it before it expired" to which I replied "how could I use it if you are out of stock on the items I'm wanting. The short story is this...I went ahead and completed the purchase but the "smart millennial" attitude in which I was dealt has me thinking this will be my last purchase from Bud's. There's other places who sell these same products. If I had been treated as a customer, I wouldn't have had a problem with the coupon expiring.
