Great looking weapon. Sights look great, but takes quit a bit to get use to. The slide will show wear with certain holsters. I love the M&P line this is my 3rd handgun and have the rifles as well.

Weapon delivered as promised the feel and performance of the gun are flawless. The sights on the other hand are sub standard, they shoot 8 inches low have ordered new ones to replace the stock ones one the weapon.

Excellent pistol by S&W, all of the M&P triggers suck, dont care what anyone else says. So to fix the problem I go to APEX Tactical and buy their Stiker block and Sere parts and put them in the M&P. What a difference it makes, now if S&W would just come on board and make a S&W M&P APex pistol, talk about a sweet trigger and all.

I really like the sights on this gun. they work in all lighting conditions and i dont find them confusing at all.
The one i received had a fde colored mag release button, plug at bottom of grip, and little square where the manual safety would be if it had one. Just thought i would mention that as the one in the picture shows these parts in black.
I like the color as it is different and if you consider the cost of adding the sights and having the gunn finished in fde the price isnt bad either.
Didnt buy this for carry but with the 4.25 inch barrel it does carry well and has more to offer than other carry gun in capacity.
This is my first plastic smith and wesson since the sigma i had almost ten years ago that turned me against semi auto smiths for a while. this gun is nothing like the sigma.
I have large hands and the slide to some semi autos will nick my hand where the thumb is but that is not a problem with this one because the back of the slide is a little further rearward from the grip than most autos. I think this also helps in the concealability of it as well.

Simply outstanding. As a collector and avid sportsman, I own several top-of-the-line as well as match-grade firearms (of various configurations) and find the 40 caliber S&W VTAC absolutely one of my very favorites. It is ideal as a concealed carry weapon but also feels very at home knocking out bulls-eyes again and again. I don't understand why some people don't like the sights as I find them bright and eye-catching, which is the whole idea. Night or day, they standout. I'm glad I waited to get the VTAC version of the M&P as I love the looks and always loved the feel of M&P's. I also bought a 357 SIG barrel (S&W original manufacture) from a well-know distributor and have made this the primary use barrel as the 357 SIG's performance significantly raises the value to me. What's more, if I decide I want to shoot 9mm from this weapon, I need only buy another barrel and some magazines. (You don't have this option of three calibers if you buy the 9mm version of this weapon.) I've owned other major polymer guns like the Glock, Beretta PX4, Springfield XDM, Walther and even the Sig Sauer P250 and this beats them all.
All in all, this is a true keeper. Buy it!

Very Nice. I like the sights and understand everyone does not. I have run 30 rounds so far out of the box, dry, without a single hiccup. This gun feels well balanced in the hand. I was impressed with the ease of magazine insertion and extraction. The magazine is easier to fill by hand than a Glock magazine, when near full capacity. I was extremely impressed with the overall transaction with Buds Gun Shop. Excellent communication and email notifications. This is my first experience with Bud's and will not be my last.

This was my Second purchase from BUD'S. I had used the layaway program and love how that works. When I picked up my gun today, I thoroughly inspected it for any type of damage during shipment. None was found, it was flawless. This gun is a beautiful thing! The FDE looks great... the sights are a little strange, but work great. Im just going to have to practice my sight picture, which is no problem since I love to shoot. The night sights are excellent and the glowing day sights are great as well, although in light you can still kind of see the night sights (not that they glow, its just you can still see them) but the optic sights glow a bright green, like I said I just have to get used to it. This is my second Smith and Wesson M&P and I'm sure I'm going to love it as much as my first one. I really just cannot wait to go test this thing out at the range. Thank you Bud's! Will use you again!
