Classic Lines, Classic Feel, Modern Features. The Ruger® New Model Blackhawk® is the most advanced single-action revolver ever made. While retaining the solid frame, feel and comfortable grip of the classic single-actions, they feature Ruger’s patented transfer bar ignition system with loading gate interlock, an all-coil spring mechanism, adjustable sights, and frame-mounted firing pin. New Model Blackhawk revolvers have earned a reputation as the best value on the market due to their durability and affordability.

Convertible models come equipped with an extra cylinder and are popular with shooters who appreciate the classic single-action revolver but opt for the versatility of being able to use more than one caliber in their handgun. With its interchangeable cylinder, Convertible models can be easily converted from one caliber to another without the use of tools. This versatility allows avid shooters of autoloading pistols to enjoy shooting a classic American single-action sidearm with their favorite pistol cartridge.

I've had this for a while now, and after extensive usage I can say this is one of my favorites to shoot. Changing the cylinders did take a little used to doing but being able to shoot both a .357 and a 9mm is well worth it. Shooting well into the thousands for both calibers this revolver has had no problems, no malfunctions, and it is just fun to shoot. Only thing I'd recommend is to wear gloves if you're gonna try to fan the revolver, wear some leather gloves.

On my recent Blackhawk convertible from Buds Guns. Over all transaction was very smooth and and quickly completed. Pick up at my local FFl was just as easy. I will not hesitate to purchase from Buds again. I really didn't want to become a Buds team member at $29.95 but had to , to make the purchase.
I had a minor set back with the Blackhawk as the casing ejector came out of its place the first time at the range. Ruger replaced it in just days!

This gun is awesome, very very accurate right out of the box. Having the ability to shoot 9mm, .38, and .357 is really nice. The only disappointment is that it comes with a horribly uncomfortable grip. I highly recommend purchasing a Hogue rubber grip for the gun. Looks much nicer with the Hogue grip.

Ordered on Black Friday and had it the next week which really surprised me with the number of orders that Bud's must of had. I have had my convertible Blackhawk at the range a couple of times, once just me and once with my son who also enjoyed this gun, the only mistake was I didn't take any 9mm which was a big mistake on my part. I purchased the 6.5 inch barrel so I could double duty between range and hunting. This is the second convertible revolver I own (both purchased from Bud's) the other is 22lr\22mag. I have been watching for this gun for a while. We have put 2 or 3 boxes of each caliber ammo through this gun with out any issues. Great gun and great service.

The BH Convertible was my first duel cylinder firearm and it is just a joy to shoot..
The service that I received was first rate and the shipping was quick and easy..
It's great having a revolver that will take 3 different calibers of ammo and easy on the wallet..

I really love my new Blackhawk revolver. The only issue I had is getting the base pin into the cylinder when changing it out or cleaning it. What I discovered is that any lateral force on that pin will cause it to stick. The best way to get it in is to put the cylinder in, rotate the cylinder a little to make sure it is in all the way, then hold the gun straight up with the barrel pointing straight in the air, then depress the base pin release button and either rotate or move the cylinder a bit until it literally falls into place. This works so much better than trying to push the pin into place. I hope that made sense. I will be posting a video about this on the youtubes in near future. Also, check your rear sight. It was off center out of the box and I didn't realize it until a about 18 shots later. The reason I didnt' notice is my gf was shooting it with a great grouping on target while my grouping was off center by about 2 inches at 15 yards. I think maybe she was having an off day but the adjusted sight compensated for that. I'm not sure. Have fun with your new Blackhawk, and to all the gun grabbers I say listen to Lily Allen's song titled "F*ck You". :)

Great gun! The 357 is the best shooting of the cartridges this gun will handle. The 38spl and 9mm are great for training new shooters and when you have no 357 ammo.

I love this gun it handles full bore 158 gr 357 like a dream right out of the box accurate. 38 and 9 mm are like shooting and air gun. This will go with me hog hunting and any time I go into the woods.
