Oh it’s an excellent product and the price was perfect. I was able to find the same mags at a higher price without the extensions. I honestly don’t have the compact version, but now that I have the extensions, I’m thinking of getting one.

Perfect for the range. I live in shorts and a tshirt year round. So, concealing with this magazine is not an option.

I bought these around 3 years ago, when the MOD.2 was just gaining popularity, and the magazines couldn't be any better than advertised. The welding marks on the magazine (the shell and the spring are metal, everything else is plastic) were VERY WELL hidden, to the point you wouldn't be able to tell it was unless you took the mag apart. The follower hasn't tilted on me, and the mags do in fact hold 13 rounds (I was given a 10 rounder with the gun, when I supposed to get a 13.) Now, if you have to take the magazine apart for some reason, you'll want to slide the mag extension UP and off. Then, you'll want to turn the mag over, and you'll see a button on the floorplate. Press that down with a punch, (and be careful, the spring will be quite strong if not broken in) and slide the plate forward and off. the rest should then just slide out.

Exact dimensions and build as those sold with the XD series, however, this one was REALLY stiff to fit and the magazine eject takes a heavy press. I'm going to try to switch the metal part out w/ the smaller magazine to see if I can't set it straight. Otherwise, high quality metal, molding and standard quality from Springfield.
