Tulammo is a very good ammo and is mainly what i shoot out of my AK’s. It may not be the hardest hitting round that was ever made, but id say its middle road in that department. Intruder probably wouldn’t know the difference in cartridge companies. If theres a complaint its that it could use a tweak in ft lbs. That said the hollow points do a very good job of blowing big holes in whatever you want. Impressed with the shred capabilities. The ammo has been made in the Tula Cartridge Works factory since 1880 set up by Emperor Alexander II and has over 130 year history. They accounted for 25% of all cartridges used by Russian Army in WWI. So Tulammo knows a few things about making reliable cartridges. It is very reliable and have hand no failures to fire out of a quality AK that is not gummed up. I clean my AK’s so all rounds put through my Arsenal, Vepr, Saiga, Hungarian parts build, and etc. have all fired every round fed. All my AK’s are 1 in 9.5 twists so i like using the heavier 124 grains as well. Since wolf is no longer made in Russia, but outsources their ammo especially the civilian sold ammo, i use Tula. I like using Russian cartridges. Tula aquired Ulyanovsk cartridge works in 2005 which is another Russian factory thats made ammo for a long time. 1 out of 3 of Uly in WWI went to the front. Its hard not to trust factories that have done it for so long and which i never have a F to F! Choose what you like, but im going to keep buying Tulammo...it works and works well.
