"We are not now that strength which in old days moved earth and heaven". Well, if Tennyson's Hercules found it likely difficult to rack the slide on one of his defensive weapons, in my late 70's I suspect that I shouldn't be surprised by my experience - well, I found that that task is made substantially easier (and the wife has seconded the motion) by using a Vicker's tactical "Slide Racker". She shoots a G42 usually, I shoot several Glock variations but, today all are equipped with this piece of hardware... and we spend hours enjoying shooting sports at our local ranges. Vicker's slide racker is sized appropriately, in our opinion, to be functionally adequate and yet, I have found that, with the holsters I use regularly, it creates no problems as that relates to the weapons fit or the units feel while wearing the equipment.
