A great shooter. Haven’t found an ammo that doesn’t group well. Excellent rifle for beginners, easy to use, safe and accurate. Can’t ask for much more than that.

Nice small, lightweight single shot rifle! I added a red dot to it. Great deer gun 100yds and closer. Straight shooter getting awesome groups. Ordering was easy and delivered to my choice of FFL dealer quickly.

Accurate, with very little recoil using off the shelf ammo. Holding 2" groups at 100 yds with American eagle 240gr. Topped it with a Bushnell DOA and it's a nice brush, closer in range deer rifle. Factory installed mount is solid and seems to be of good quality.

Great gun for the money! I wouldn't expect a gun in this price range to feel as good as it does. Action is nice and tight, barrel is cleanly rifled, and it has a heck of a good trigger (especially for the price point!). Hammer spur is able to be swapped, making this a great gun for right or left handed shooters. Comes with a medium height 1 piece scope mount/rings already installed, as well as a really effective recoil pad out back. The sling studs are adequate so far and I don't expect much issue there, but could be a little sturdier. Also, to my surprise, the rifle was a take down model. I didn't read that in the description but was pleasantly surprised to see it was. With the flick of a switch (flush mounted under the front hand guard) you can have the rifle broke down into 2 pieces, making it a great camp gun or long hike backpacking rifle. As far as accuracy i haven't got to run much ammo out of it yet, but it seems to like the heavier bullets in the 44 mag version (300 grain) and has great groupings at 100 yards. I consistently am placing 5 shots in a 2" circle freehand shooting (no bench). Hope this helps someone make the decision to get one, I sure am growing fond of this one already. JJ

It really dumbfounds me and is quite the wakeup call when a $300 rifle can be this nice. Trigger is fantastic, stainless, fluted with recessed crown and a scope mount. Accurate as heck. It is as nice as any custom TCA with MGM barrel. The MGM barrel almost looks the same as the CVA. Shipping a bit slow this time. Mine weights 8lbs 6 ounces scoped with sling. Impressive for sure.If CVA would make it in 30-30 it would probably outsell every other deer hunting rifle.
