The Remington 700 is still considered by many to be the most accurate out of the box rifle ever made and the standard by which all other bolt actions are measured by. The 5-R Bolt Action Rifle is built on the legendary tradition of the iconic Remington 700 and it does not disappoint, setting a new benchmark for accuracy and durability! It's chambered in .260 Remington and has a 24" stainless steel barrel with a 1:8 twist. Featuring tactical/target style hammer forged 5R rifling it will provide you with amazing shot to shot consistency. The Gen 2 barrel is fluted to dissipate heat more efficiently and threaded 5/8x24 TPI to accept your suppressor. The internal magazine holds 3 rounds of hard hitting ammunition and it has an H-S Precision synthetic stock with full length aluminum bedding. The rock solid receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounts and houses the X-Mark Pro Trigger that breaks like glass. It looks amazing with a sand/black webbing finish on the stock and a black Cerakote finish on the metal surfaces. Everything about the Remington 700 5-R Gen2 is all about long range precession. Bought this gun hoping to get a factory gun to shoot groups relatively close to custom built gun. Not disappointed. I reload, and it didn’t take long to tighten up groups inside half inch. Everything about this gun is well built. Paid about $1000 when it was all said and done. Well worth the money. Bought another in 6.5 creedmoor. Also shoots inside half inch. I’m a believer.

I have shot this firearm at 1000 yards all year long. Love it. A Jewel trigger is all i have done different.

Gun was shipped on time and neatly packaged. The rifle didn’t seem to have any mechanical issues , but after bore sighting the gun I couldn’t get it to shoot better than 2-3” groups . I tried at least 6 different loads and they all produced the same results. This is not an issue with Buds, they are great but rather a reflection of Remington’s lack of QC . I sent the rifle back to Remington for repairs which took approximately 10 weeks. They replaced the action ,barrel and bolt assy,so essentially everything but the stock is new. They sent a target back with repaired gun that shows a .75” grouping shooting 140 gr psp rounds( corelocks)I’m assuming. Hoping to get this gun to the range this wknd and see what it will do now that it’s been rebuilt. Not sure what’s going on with Remington but this is not a good look, hoping for the accuracy I was expecting to begin with......

Just got back from the range with the rifle... Shoot fine. 1moa or slightly better with a decent shooter. Bolt handle was loose but it was fine when a round was chambered. One thing to check when you get your rifle is make sure it's centered in the stock and barrel is freefloated. I cannot stand Remington rifles but this one is decent. Sadly these are going to be very limited, so buy it now.

This was my second Remington model 700. It is very accurate out of the box. I was impressed how the rifle felt and the balance. The HS stock is just flatout cool. I've put 10 rounds through the rifle at short distance and cant wait to get the scope sited in on the range. Service was awesome from Buds Guns. I will buy from Buds in the future.

Due to inclement weather I haven't got out to sight it in but I know Remington (I have 2 other M700s) and I am sure it will perform as expected...GREAT. As far as Buds Gun shop goes I whole heartedly recommend them. The transaction was smooth, fast and easy. I really like them and am sure I'll have them as my go to gun shop. Thanks Guys
