Recently purchased this gun from Buds. Shipping was quick and easy as usual with Buds. The gun itself is a treasure to behold. The machining is top notch as with most Dan Wesson's. At this point I have only put 100 rounds though it but there have been no failures with Wilson Combat mags and Chip McCormick's with Fiocchi ammo. The factory mags have been without issue as well and truthfully are pretty nice. The grips are very aggressive and I haven't decided whether or not to change them as they do look very nice on the gun. Accuracy has been very good as far as my own shooting ability goes. My first shot from 7 yds was a bulls eye!!!! POA is spot on with this particular gun. I have read where some Dan Wesson's have a tendency to shoot high and many have to have the front sight replaced. Especially the 9 mm vs 45. I have become a huge fan of the Dan Wesson product line and also have a Valkyrie. These are just fantastic firearms for the price. While I know its not a true custom 1911, I can't imagine that a 3k gun is 2 times better than this gun. I would say that would be impossible. If it's in your budget and you have an inkling to try a Dan Wesson, I would say without question to go for it. They are top notch firearms.
