Is this rifle strong enough for buffalo bore type loads? Is this made by Cimarron or Pedersoli?

Jesse, absolutely not Sir. Standard SAAMI loads **ONLY**. Cimarron imports these fine Sharps reproductions from Italian fine gun maker Davide Pedersoli.

A shooter at my range has one of these and he let me try it. I noticed the rear (set) trigger on it was a bit loose until it was used to set the front trigger. Once it was pulled and set, it was firmly in place until the gun was fired . The owner said the "unset" set trigger being slightly loose was normal but I was wondering if anyone who has experience with Pedersoli set triggers can confirm this. The gun functioned fine and shot accurately out to the limit of the range.

This is absolutely normal. 95% of the connection resistance is off the trigger until it sets the front trigger. Normal operation.

Gary M, Good morning! Here is my experience from order a couple of long guns from Buds. If said firearm was purchased in new condition it will ship to the FFL in the manufacturer's packaging. My rifles were purchased in new condition and the manufacturer, to keep cost in check, shipped in cardboard, however, the packaging was extremely robust and the firearm was very well protected. This manufacturer may ship in hard case and that should be cleared with that company before any transaction. If your firearm was purchased in new condition Buds will check the condition before it ships to you. You are also urged to check the condition of your firearm before you allow your FFL to transfer it to you. If, you find that there is damage do not accept transfer and immediately contact Bud's Customer Service. Buds will also offer insurance at an additional cost for your shipment in case it is lost, stolen or damaged before ownership is transferred to you. Hope this helps.

If I purchased this rifle I would like to install a ladder style rear sight in place of the ramp sight it comes with. Is a ladder style aftermarket sight available for this rifle, where might I find it, and can I install it myself or must a gunsmith do the job?
